Competition Information
Fees and Charges
The weekly game fee is payable at the start of each scheduled game at the front desk at Wodonga Sports &
Leisure Centre.

 Junior Registration            $16.00
 Weekly Game Fee                $42.45

Team Registration
When registering a team, a team contact must be nominated for all Junior teams. The team contact will be
the main contact for all communication between teams and Aligned Leisure Management. It is the
responsibility of the team contact to ensure all competition information, rules and regulations, and fixture
changes have been communicated to the rest of the team.

Final registrations are due by EOD Monday 15th February 2021, which will ensure your team is registered
to play from Round 1.

Player Registrations and Qualifications
Before playing the first game, all players details must be completed on the My Netball Victoria website
Join Team . To be qualified to play finals, all players must be registered and have played a minimum of six
(6) games throughout the regular season. A player is deemed to have played a game if they have a position
assigned to them against their name on the score sheet.
To register a player to appear on the score sheet every week, the following details MUST be written in full
on the back of the sheet if not already labelled: Full Name, Date of Birth, Postal Address, Postcode, Netball
Victoria Membership ID number, Mobile Number, Email Address. If any details are missing, it will be
deemed incomplete and no qualification or registration will be recorded for the New Player.

It is the responsibility of the team captain/contact to check the scoresheet at the conclusion of the game to
ensure all player information, positions and scores have been recorded correctly.

Age Eligibility:
Age Groups for the Junior Competitions will be taken from the 1 st January i.e. a player in 13 & Under
Competition should remain thirteen (13) years up until the 31st December.
Please refer to the below table to determine the correct age group based on the year they were born.

Please Note: players are eligible to play up one age group only.

Netball Victoria Membership Insurance
It is now a requirement that all registered netball Players must hold a current 2021 Victorian Netball
Membership ID (previously VNA). Should you not have a current Victorian Netball Membership (VNM) and
are playing as a team fill in, Single Game Vouchers (SGV) are available to players who play ‘one off’
matches.
Vouchers can only be purchased online through the MyNetball App for $10.00 and covers you for
insurance only for one (1) game. SGV’s are to be purchased at the beginning of the game prior to taking
the court and be noted on the scoresheet.

Your membership with Netball Victoria, includes your player insurance for the entire season. Any player
injured during a game should seek First Aid from the Duty Captain, or another Aligned Leisure Staff
member, and complete the relevant documentation. Failure to do so, will result in Aligned Leisure
management unable to sign off on any insurance claims to be sent to Netball Victoria.

Scoring (Bench Officials)
All teams must provide one competent bench official for each game. Umpires may ask a player to sit off if
no bench official is provided. However, it is acceptable for only one team to provide a scorer if there is an
agreeance from both teams.

Forfeits and Withdrawals
In the event where a team is unable to play a single scheduled game, it will be deemed a forfeit and a fee
will apply that is payable within 14 days of the scheduled game. Where possible, the opposing team
captain/contact will be contacted to be notified of the forfeit against their team. The opposing team will
then be given a win.

In the event where a team must withdraw from the competition, they will be required to pay a
competition withdrawal fee along with a forfeit fee if less than seven days’ notice is given before their next
scheduled game. To officially withdraw from their respective competition, the team captain/contact must
place the request in writing and send to sport.wslc@alignedlesiure.com.au The withdrawal fee must be
paid in person.

Forfeit Fee – Notified prior to 24hrs - $50.00
Forfeit Fee – Un-notified within 24hrs - $60.00
Withdrawal Fee – $120.00

First Aid and Injuries
Where First Aid is required, all Aligned Leisure Staff are trained and available to assist, however the first
point of contact should be the Duty Captain on duty. All players that receive First Aid will be required to
complete an injury report form.

Conditions of Entry
In the opinion of Aligned Leisure Management, if a player, coach, official, spectator or team, conducts
themselves in a manner contrary to the best interests of Netball or the Conditions of Entry, each individual
involved will be asked to leave the complex. Depending on the extent of the incident; suspension or
withdrawal from the competition may apply.

Aligned Leisure Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person under the influence of
alcohol or drugs. Smoking is not permitted in the center at any time.
Uniforms
Each team member must wear a uniform of the same design and color. Positional bibs must be worn by all
players.

Suspended Players
Players under suspension by Aligned Leisure Management are not permitted to play or referee for the
duration of the suspension. Teams who play suspended players will lose all points for the games concerned
and may be removed from the competition entirely.

Change to Fixtures
Please note changes to fixtures due to regrading, re-fixturing, teams withdrawing, or other unforeseen
circumstances may occur without notice throughout the season. When more than 7 days from the
respective game, a competition BYE may be created or removed during this time.

Whereas changes to fixtures occurring within seven days of the respective game, an Aligned Leisure
Member will contact all affected teams via telephone.

Score and Ladder Enquiries
Any queries regarding incorrect scores or ladder positions, must be lodged in writing via email to
sports.wslc@alignedleisure.com.au.
From here, the enquiry will be investigated, and changes will be made where necessary. Please be aware it
may take up to seven days for these issues to be completed.

Special Requests
All special requests regarding fixturing or grading must be placed in writing and lodged via email to
sports.wslc@alignedleisure.com.au and state the reason, and specific competition it involves. Please note,
requests for a bye round on a date will only be considered in a competition with odd team numbers.
Fixturing requests will be specifically reviewed prior to the construction of fixtures. Fixturing requests for
the regular season must be submitted prior to commencement of the competition.

Please note, for all requests, it is not guaranteed that each and all can be fulfilled.
Code of Behavior – General
As a person required to comply with this Regulation, you must meet the following requirements in regards
to your conduct during any activity held or sanctioned by Netball Victoria, a Region, an Affiliated
Association or an Affiliated Club:
    1. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of others.
    2. Be fair, considerate and honest in all dealings with others.
    3. Be professional in and accept responsibility for your actions.
    4. Make a commitment to providing quality service.
    5. Be aware of, and maintain an uncompromising adhesion to Netball Victoria standards, rules,
        regulations and policies.
    6. Operate within the rules of the sport including state guidelines which govern Netball Victoria, the
        Regions, the Affiliated Associations and the Affiliated Clubs.
    7. Do not use your involvement with Netball Victoria, a Region, an Affiliated Association or an
        Affiliated Club to promote your own beliefs, behaviors or practices where these are inconsistent
        with those of Netball Victoria, a Region, an Affiliated Association or an Affiliated Club.
    8. Demonstrate a high degree of individual responsibility especially when dealing with persons under
        18 years of age, as your words and actions are an example.
    9. Avoid unaccompanied and unobserved activities with persons under 18 years of age, wherever
        possible.
    10. Refrain from any behavior that may bring Netball Victoria, a Region, an Affiliated Association or an
        Affiliated Club into disrepute.
    11. Provide a safe environment for the conduct of the activity.
    12. Show concern and caution towards other who may be sick or injured.
    13. Be a positive role model.
    14. Understand the repercussions if you breach or are aware of any breaches of this Code of Behavior.

Conditions of Entry – COVID
   1. Customers must wear a face mask unless exempt (Players must wear a mask until playing)
   2. Follow directions by Aligned Leisure Staff at all times
   3. Follow all social distancing and hygiene guidelines
   4. Refrain from entering the facility if you are feeling unwell, have symptoms (Fever, cough,
      respiratory problems), or have been in contact within a known or suspected COVID-19 Carrier
   5. Register your details upon entry using the QR Scanner provided by Aligned Leisure
