P6CELEBRATING KENDYL
10 Years with
Kendyl at the helm
This month marks Kendyl’s 10 year work
anniversary with the Pukekohe Business
Association
In 2012 a fresh faced Law graduate joined the newly formed Pukekohe Business
Association to assist local businesses in the transition to become a Business
Improvement District.
Since then, Kendyl has grown the Association to what it is today with 2 long serving, full-
time staff members who are both just as passionate about local business as she is.
Some of Kendyl’s proudest moments include advocating for Franklin businesses on a
number of key business issues. This included lowering the business differential when it was first
implemented, and in 2016 she successfully advocated on behalf of Hospitality businesses for
the outdoor dining levy to be differed.
Kendyl also implemented many initiatives, promotions and events celebrating, encouraging and supporting local
business; such as the Shop Local Voucher Booklet, Business Subsidies and the Best in Business Awards.
Overall, Kendyl feels that working passionately in the best interests of businesses in Pukekohe, alongside some conscientious, loyal,
long-serving team members, makes her job so enjoyable.
We will welcome Kendyl back from maternity leave in August. Until then, Shawna and Chenay are keeping things running smoothly in
the Pukekohe Business Association office.
