Summer Camp 2018
E l C e r r i t o R e c r e a t i o n D e p a r t m e n tGeneral INfo Experience... Discover... Thrive!
At the City of El Cerrito Recreation Department we
pride ourselves on being experts in the field of FUN!
We know that children want to explore activities that
delight them. We offer each child a unique experience
through an incredible variety of programs. You can
rely on our highly competent staff to engage with your
child in the way that best meets their needs, while
knowing that safety is our highest priority.
FUN – we ensure that our camps are fun and filled with enriching
experiences for our campers!
UNIQUE – our flexibility allows you to mix programs to best fit
the individual needs of your family.
VARIETY – between our own City-run programs and those we
provide through trend-setting independent contractors, the
options to you and your family abound!
COMPETENT – our Community Services Coordinators and
lead staff come to you with a rare blend of expertise, experience
and passion.
SAFETY – camp staff receive a thorough background check
investigation, which is followed up by training in CPR & First
Aid, active supervision, child-safe expectations and field trip
transportation protocol.

Traditional Camps
Traditional camps give your child a summer they will always
remember. Our traditional camps provide an opportunity to
make new friends, learn new skills and get the most out
of classic camp activities. Each week has themed activities
and a special event. Camps become more field trip oriented
as children get older to keep experiences fresh and new –
even for those campers who have been with us for years.
Join us for one week or for the whole summer and make
memories and friends to last all year!
A typical day of traditional camp is 9am-4pm.
Extended care is included at no additional cost
from 7-9am and 4-6pm.
