video games on rainy days. No prior knitting experience
needed. Learn to cast on, knit, purl and more. We’ll create a
fashionable item as our main project, and more projects
will be completed as time allows. In addition, each day
there will be games and more fun art/crafts projects (not
just knitting). All materials provided, including a set of
needles and a knitting bag which students can keep).

KIDS’ TEST KITCHEN: INSPIRE HEALTHY EATERS (AGES 6-11)
Kids’ Test Kitchen is on a mission to get young eaters cooking, tasting and thinking about healthy ingredients!
Let’s continue to redefine kid food; one lesson, and one child at a time. Each class presents students with an
opportunity to explore new or familiar foods in their raw, un-manipulated state. Then, working as a team, we’ll
slice, dice, peel, measure and cook until we’ve prepared the finished dish. Lessons are planned to celebrate
seasonal produce - cool you on a hot summer day and offer ideas for quick and healthy family meals. At the end
of class your aspiring chef will receive the main ingredient, or a sample of the finished dish, and the recipe so
that they can show off what they’ve learned. Even the most reluctant eaters enjoy KTK, where participation is
expected, but tasting is always optional. Each session arrives with fresh new recipes and ideas to inspire your
healthy eater!

Kids have food allergies, but they shouldn’t miss out on the fun. We know allergies and can work around them,
making sure that everyone is having fun and staying safe.
*Please clearly disclose all food allergies and/or dietary restrictions upon registration.

FUTSAL CAMP (AGE 6-15)
Have you ever wondered how to accelerate your child’s soccer
skills? At Futsal & Street Soccer, our aim is to bring each player’s
personal skills to the next level. Using Futsal (Futbol de Salao
Soccer in a Room) as a platform for high speed, high volume ball
touches and maneuvering in tight spaces, Futsal consistently
delivers a far better player than traditional soccer programs. A
typical Futsal game enables the player to touch the ball up to
600% more than with traditional soccer, thereby improving the
player’s decision-making skills and comfort with the ball. A Futsal
ball is smaller and heavier, allowing the player to easily command
the ball and in return build confidence that seamlessly transforms
to a soccer game. This process produces skillful players. T-shirt is
included.
Note: bring futsal shoes or sneakers, shin guards, mask, athletic
gear and water.

Hockey Nighthawks! Take advantage of the opportunity to be
introduced to the game of field hockey. For more experienced
players, take the avenue to elevate your daughter’s game and
take her skills to the next level. The camp will be run by college
bound players and current Newtown High School athletes and
is under the direction of Field Hockey coach, Ellen Goyda. Our

on improving stick skills, offense and defensive game strategies
and to develop an overall passion and love for the game.
Campers will be grouped according to skill level. Campers
must bring their own water, wear sneakers/cleats, a mouth
guard, shin guards. Bring a field hockey stick if you have one;
