Swim Australia is ASCTA’s Learn-to-Swim and Water Safety Industry Development division, primarily delivering products,
services and professional development programs for Swim Schools. Swim Australia was launched in 1997 by the Australian
Federal Minister for Sport and Recreation.

LEVELS OF RECOGNITION AND REQUIREMENTS
Meet the requirements below and your centre will be eligible for Swim Australia recognition (please tick)
The business has insurance coverage for Public Liability and/or Professional Indemnity (Australia only) Expiry Date Yes
All teachers meet the state/territory legislative requirements for working with children (Australia only) Yes
All Teachers and Aquatic Instructors regardless of qualification held, teach with Safesport guidelines. Yes

Registered. All Swim Schools in the Swim Australia network will be ‘Registered’ with Swim Australia, having met the agreement to the terms and conditions
contained herein. Such registration allows access to the current wide range of high quality products and services from Swim Australia
Accredited. Swim Schools registered with Swim Australia have the option of applying to become a Swim Australia Accredited Swim School. Many more requirements
need to be met, including ‘passing’ an ‘inspection’. Accreditation will be accompanied by a range of additional benefits. After being approved as a Swim Australia
Registered Swim School, contact Swim Australia for a Swim School Accreditation pack.
Swim School of Excellence. Swim Schools accredited with Swim Australia will have the option of applying for recognition for various Awards of Excellence.
The standards required of these Swim Schools will be ‘best practice’. A Swim School attaining two awards is honoured as a Swim School of Excellence.
