                                  My soul into my koi
                                  Tanaka Koi Farm in Minami-Uonuma City was started
                                  by Satoshi Tanaka 17 years ago. Other koi farms in
                                  Niigata Prefecture have been succeeded to a second or
                                  a third generation of their founders, and most of the
                                  farms have a history of more than 100 years. A new en-
                                  try to the koi industry after the koi boom was over was
                                  very rare, but Tanaka didn’t give up his desire for koi
                                  business in spite of people’s opposition and worry.
                                  Now his name is becoming familiar to koi lovers at
                                  home and abroad, and his victories in shows are in-
                                  creasing with good results.

                                                                    This Taisho Sanshoku is of the bloodline of “Miss Japan II” and “J
                                                                    Wonderful”, bred by Sakai Fish Farm in Hiroshima. I bought it on
                                                                    autumn 2016 via Nishikigoi Shotoku when it was 2sai and 53cm long. It
                                                                    won the Adult Champion at the 48th All Japan Koi Show. 3sai and 65cm
                                                                    long at this show.

                                                              This Taisho Sanshoku is bred by Kyowa Suisan in Chiba. Its body
                                                              shape, beautiful Shiroji and placement of Hi and Sumi are very
                                                              attractive. I keep it in mud pond of Mr. Fumitaka Hoshino in Yamakoshi
                                                              during summer and after harvest keep it my spring pond at this show
                                                              7sai.
