For the first time we had boys sit the National Latin Exam and had Head of Curriculum (7-12)
several boys awarded at the highest level. As per usual, we had
enormous success with Mathematics students in the Australian
Mathematics Competition. Several Mathematics students were
awarded highest standardised test results and William Liu
(Year 9) and Edwin She (Year 11) were invited to attend the Australian
Mathematical Olympiad Committee's School of Excellence in 2021.
Teaching Excellence
At the founding of The Scots College in 1893, the moderator of the
Presbyterian Church described its teachers as those who had won
the highest honours in university, knew how to teach Australian
boys, and saw their vocation as “a work of faith, a labour of love and
a patience of hope”.
Amidst all the challenges of 2020, teachers at the College
