community award winners
Sandbach Clean Team has won an Aviva Community Award thanks to local firm
Matt White Financial Services entering the group into the competition. The winner’s
cheque of £1,000 from Aviva Insurance was presented to Clean Team organiser
Keith Haines by Matt White with Sandbach Town Mayor, Cllr. Richard Hovey,
presiding.
After the presentation, the team completed a litter pick of the town centre and
tackled the cobbles in Market Square with brushes and pans, filling a number
of bags with rubbish and pieces of glass shards. Members of the AROCHA
organisation made their own special contribution with a thorough spring-clean of
Sandbach Park and the surrounding areas.
