Written Submissions as Amicus Curiae
   1. Turf Club Auto Emporium Pte Ltd v Yeo Boong Hua [2018] SGCA 44 (Andrew
Phang JA: “There are three parts to the submissions on the law by the amicus curiae,
Assoc Prof Goh Yihan (“Prof Goh”), which are comprehensive and scholarly. … We
would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Prof Goh for his astute and erudite
submissions, which greatly assisted us in navigating a complex and contentious area
      of law.”)
   2. ACB v Thomson Medical Pte Ltd [2017] 1 SLR 918 (Andrew Phang JA: “Finally, we
would like to record our deep appreciation once again to Prof Goh for the invaluable
assistance he provided us – notwithstanding the fact that we did not ultimately agree
with all of his submissions. His masterly integration of theory and practice
exemplifies all that excellent legal scholarship should be. We also commend
Prof Goh for his excellent advocacy. Indeed, this is not the first time that Prof Goh
has been commended in the highest terms for his assistance as amicus curiae (see, for
example, the Singapore High Court decision of Ang Jeanette v PP [2011] 4 SLR 1 at
[76] and the decision of this court in Re Nalpon Zero Geraldo Mario [2013] 3 SLR
258 at [72] (where it was observed that ‘both [Prof Goh’s] written and oral
submissions were models of clarity and conciseness’)).
   3. Re Nalpon Zero Geraldo Mario [2013] 3 SLR 258 (V K Rajah JA: “It only remains
for us to place on record our debt to Mr Goh for his admirable research into (and
comprehensive submissions about) the historical evolution of the various Courts’
disciplinary jurisdiction over legal professionals in Singapore. We should add that
both his written and oral submissions were models of clarity and conciseness.”)
   4. Ang Jeanette v Public Prosecutor [2011] 4 SLR 1 (V K Rajah JA: “In particular, I
would like to express my deep gratitude to Mr Goh Yihan for his helpful
submissions. Despite having prepared them at short notice, his submissions were
comprehensive, admirably researched and lucidly presented.”)
