Message From Organizing Chairman / Secretary (IOACON 2015)
Dear Colleagues,

Greeting from the office of IOACON 2015 Organizing Committee

It gives us great pleasure in inviting you to the “Diamond jubilee 60th annual conference of Indian Orthopaedic Association
(IOACON-2015) to be organized at Jaipur.

The core attributes of a scientific conference are a delectable scientific programme, a generous hospitality and a comfortable
and homely stay. I believe all these issues will be effectively taken care by organizing team of IOACON. This is for the first time in
the history of IOA, all the office bearers of IOA have been exempted from registration fees by organizers and despite increasing
price index and inflation, registration charges have also been kept lesser than previous conferences. The unmarried children of
registered delegates have also been given free registration. All these exemplary and unprecedented efforts show generosity
and earnestness of organizers to make this conference successful.

The conference is likely to be attended by more than 7000 eminent orthopaedic surgeons of national and international repute to
share their views and beliefs, their work and experiences during scientific sessions, workshops and CME.

We would like to take a moment to thank all the registered delegates till date for their overwhelming response.

On the social and cultural front, we can assure you of a very memorable experience. The blend of cool weather in the month of
December and warm hospitality of Jaipur will make this event memorable for all the Participants.

We would love to have you and your family in Jaipur for the
                                        “Diamond Jubilee 60th IOACON 2015”
and have an experience of a life time.

  Dr. R N Mathur Dr. R C Meena

Message from President (Indian Orthopaedic Association)
Dear Orthopaedic Surgeons & Friends,

Greeting from IOA House,

At the outset, I would like to thank all the members of Prestigious Indian Orthopaedic Association.

My theme, this year is “Continue Learning to Serve the Society better”.

Learning can be done by 3 ways :

a) By reading books and journals,
b) By attending workshops,
c) By attending Conferences and Seminars.

Education is received through hearing, reading, seeing and by practical experience. Self education is most important.

Whatever you learn, learn well, both in theory and practical, even it takes time, it always compounds. Do not forget to pay
attention to details. Whatever you do, you must have confidence. Confidence comes from knowledge and practical
experience.

Among all Specialities, Orthopaedic Surgeons enjoy premium position and rightfully so, if they progressively keep knowledge
of current literature. You should improve your skills thereby you will improve the Orthopaedic Health of Society.

Here is a great Opportunity for you to learn more and improve the Orthopaedic Health of Society.

This year, there will be half day Session from American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons who will give lectures on
Current Concepts in Orthopaedics.

These are about 50 overseas faculty coming to IOACON at Jaipur and they will definitely talk on recent advances of different
Orthopaedic subjects.

The Indian faculty are great teachers and masters in their particular field who will deliver their best.

For your practical experience, there are many Workshops on 9th and 10th of December 2015 at different venues at Jaipur.

Hence, I request you to come all and attend the great Scientific deliberation at IOACON Jaipur with your family and friends
and enjoy the hospitality of Rajasthan.

Padhoro Mhare DESH.

Thanks with regards,
Yours Sincerely,

Dr. H R Jhunjhunwala,
     President,IOA 2

Message from President Elect (Indian Orthopaedic Association)
Dear friends,

Greetings from the office of President Elect – IOA.

My best wishes for the Orthopaedic Surgeons Society of Rajasthan for the forthcoming IOACON-15.

Dr. R.C. Meena has been given the responsibility of organizing secretary for this IOACON which is being held in Jaipur after a
gap of 5 years. Dr. R.C. Meena is a hardworking and persuasive organizing secretary who always takes pre-emptive action.
I am absolutely sure that the conference will go fantastically well with him as organizing secretary and a cohesive team of many
dedicated members working with him.

We are making sure that the academic content of the conference is very educative and the whole central organizing committee
is working on this. A record number of learned foreign faculty as well as Indian faculty is expected to participate. The theme of
the Dr. K.T. Dholakia CME is also very apt- “Pitfalls in the management of periarticular fractures” and a galaxy of speaker is
being arranged for this.

I request all of you to attend this conference in big numbers. I am very sure that every delegate would be able to carry home
some educational message on one hand and will be able to enjoy the world famous hospitality of Rajasthan state on the other
hand.

Jai IOA, Jai Hind.

                        Tiger Trail (02Nights / 03Days by Road)
The Ranthambore National Park was once the hunting ground of Maharaja of Jaipur. In 1955, it was
declared a game sanctuary; in 1980, it became a national park. But with the commissioning of Project
Tiger in 1972, it was included in the project. With the addition of neighbouring Keladevi and Mansingh
sanctuaries, the total area of the national park stands at 1,334 sq km. But the entire park - the core area is
just 392 sq kms - is not open to the public. Ranthambhore Park is famous for tigers and due to
conservation efforts; the tiger population has stabilized if not increased here. The tigers can be spotted
quite often even during the day, at their normal pursuits-- hunting and taking care of their young ones.
Ranthambhore is one of the best places to see these majestic predators. Ranthambore is a heritage site
because of the picturesque ruins that dot the wildlife park. There are lake palaces, 'chhatris', old
fortifications and a majestic 1,000-year-old fort, overlooking the park.

                        Same Day Ajmer - Pushkar
Located in Ajmer, Rajasthan, the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti is one of the most revered places not
only in Rajasthan but also throughout India. Popularly known as Ajmer Sharif, the Dargah is visited by
numerous devotees every year. These devotees include not only the Muslims of India but also a large
number of Hindus who revere and follow the teachings of Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti popularly
know as Khwaja Gharib Nawaz who is considered to be the preacher of humanity among the mankind.

Pushkar is an ancient city and has seen history being made since the Ramayana period. The account of
this city can be found in the 4th century writings of the Chinese traveller Fa-Hien and also in the scripts
written during the era of Muslim invasions. The city is considered by Hindus to be one of the most sacred
places in India and has, perhaps, the only existing temple in Asia, dedicated to Lord Brahma.
