Facial Cupping is used to gently pull the skin away from
deeper layers of underlying fascia. This increased blood flow
to the area rejuvenates the skin without leaving cup marks
behind. Regular facial cupping sessions are intended to
help reduce fine lines and improve one’s complexion. Facial
cupping helps provide the following benefits:
• Increased blood circulation
• Strengthened skin and connective tissue
• Stimulate cells responsible in collagen production
• Reduce muscle tension
• Brighten skin

It is an understatement to say that 2020 is a year that we will all remember. The many challenges we have all
faced this year, as we have encountered COVID 19, will leave an impression that will not be forgotten. We are

tainty that we have all faced. There is no doubt that we are blessed with tremendous support from our members,
donors, faithful staff, and a
great community. For us, this
is certainly a year to reflect
upon and be thankful.
despite the uncertainty that we have all faced. While this year has brought
many challenges, it has also
given our YMCA a chance to stand in the gap here in our community and to respond to the many needs that have
arisen. None of us knew what to expect when we received word that our schools were closing and the state was
for all practical purposes, shutting down. I am proud of all our staff and the commitment that they have shown
throughout the entire time we have been impacted by this pandemic. Our staff have been here every day, even
amid the shutdown, to find a way to serve our community. We had staff members providing grocery delivery to
Seniors and Frontline Healthcare workers who needed help in a critical time, doing wellness checks on many of
our Seniors who live alone, while also doing deep cleaning and special projects to ensure that our YMCA would
be ready to be re-opened as soon as it was safe and permissible to do so. As soon as we were permitted to re-
open, our staff was ready, and we were able to be open and provide a safe and clean opportunity for members to
enjoy the many activities that they enjoy at our YMCA. The moment our schools were forced to close, our Child-
care staff immediately stood up an Emergency Childcare program for those families who had no choice but to
continue to work and were not able to shelter in place. This program was open to anyone who needed it, and we
consistently cared for a minimum of 50 children each week. I am proud to say that we were able to provide care
for children, in a safe and effective manner, every weekday throughout this year.
In early April, we recognized that many of our children might not have an opportunity to have access to food
that they normally receive through the School Lunch programs at the schools they attend. We were able to
partner with our School System, churches, and others to utilize our buses, staff, and volunteers to help distrib-
ute food as a result a waiver from the USDA to their normal procedures. For 21 weeks we provided this service,
using over 1000 manhours, to distribute the equivalent of 173,594 meals to 12,171 people. This happened
every week, from April until September, and in a safe and effective way. What a joy it was to be able to be a part
of this amazing effort and to be able to be able to use our resources to help others. This provided an incredible
opportunity for us to meet new people and allowed us to discover new ways that we could help our community.
Through this we identified a way to help provide an opportunity for free swim for families from several neigh-
borhoods that did not have access to a pool. Since early summer, we have been able to safely re-establish all our
youth sports programs, swim lessons, group, and water exercise classes, and return to almost all of our normal
facility access. Even though many of our programs have had to operate with restrictions due to space concerns
and other health related guidelines, our staff have found a way to make this a reality. Any one of these would
provide an opportunity to be excited, but during a challenging year like 2020 has been, the fact that they have
all occurred is amazing and a true testament to the dedication of staff and members alike.
As I close, let me offer you our sincere thanks for staying with us and providing the opportunity for our YMCA to
continue to serve this community. As we look to 2021, I know that the events of this year will remain with us for
many years to come. Because of your support, please know that there will be many positive memories based on
what we were able to do collectively; because we have staff, donors, members, and a community who care for our
neighbors. My prayer is that God will grant us all good health and better days ahead.
Most sincerely,
David Lewis
