EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION | AGES 2-5
Our Early Childhood Education programs provide a safe nurturing environment that stimulates your child’s natural
curiosity, interactions with other children, guided self-discovery and experiential learning. Our programs are designed
to encourage children to develop a love of learning. Each of our Early Childhood locations offers high-quality care
for children ages 2-5 (Sun Prairie Early Childhood starts at age 2½). Daily lesson plans are designed to support
developmentally appropriate practices utilizing the Creative Curriculum Framework with an emphasis on consistency,
learning through play and academic achievement. The Y aims to improve health and well-being through the use of daily
physical activities, meals and snacks that follow Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines. All programs
accept Wisconsin Shares and participate in Young Star. The East and West YMCAs accept City of Madison funding.
