16Terms & Conditions
We would be delighted to welcome you to the Golden Valley for your next event. We ask that you please acquaint
yourself with the below terms & conditions which will apply to your function. Should you have any questions please do
not hesitate to contact us.
We are currently working to upgrade the Camp-Resort.
Some areas of the campground may be under construction during your event and some
activities & amenities may not be available.
BOOKING CONFIRMATION & DEPOSIT: A tentative booking will be held for a maximum period of seven (7) days after
which time a deposit will be required to confirm your booking. Once the deposit has been received, your booking will be
confirmed. A deposit is a one time, non-refundable payment to secure the availability of the event space on the agreed
upon date. This amount is payable in cash, credit card or certified funds. The balance of the amount due must be paid
in the same manner at least sixty days in advance of the event date.
CANCELLATIONS: We appreciate that circumstances may occur which could make it necessary for a function to be
cancelled. In all instances written notice is required and the following deposit conditions apply:
• Notification up to 1 month prior to the scheduled event—deposit is transferrable only upon rebooking of the original date.
• Notification within 1 month of the scheduled event—deposit is non refundable.
FINAL GUEST NUMBERS & EVENT DETAILS: In order to effectively plan for your event and accommodation
requirements, the Golden Valley team will require the following information at the time of booking:
• Final accommodation details including, total cabins and guest count for each cabin. If additional cabins are needed at the time
of the event or up to 14 days in advance of the event, the cabin options will be based on availability and additional base rate
charges will apply.
• A final seating plan (if applicable) should be provided 72 hours prior to the commencement of your function.
ACCOMMODATIONS: A 2-night minimum stay is required for all cabin and campsite rentals. Space rentals are not
available June 12 – August 16 and during holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day and 4th of July).
17Food & Beverage Policy: To the nature of the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Commission and Rutherford County
and Golden Valley’s Rules & Policies, we are unable to permit patrons, guests or invitees to bring wine or beer onto the
premises. The kitchen in the Lodge may be utilized for warming and serving food brought into the Lodge. However, no
basic food preparation, cooking, or baking is allowed in the Lodge. Catered meals may be served at the Lodge. All
caterers must be licensed and have a current caterer agreement with Golden Valley and be included on the Golden
Valley approved caterer list.
USE OF LODGE: The following guidelines must be followed in accordance to the agreed upon rental space.
• SPACE ACCESS: Say “I Do”! wedding package rentals receive space access: 4pm on Friday through 12:00am on Saturday. Let’s
Get Together special event package rentals receive space access: 9am-9pm day of rental. Lodge must be vacated with all
decorations removed by end of event (12am or 9pm respectively) unless other arrangements have been made at an additional
fee.
• MUSIC/ENTERTAINMENT: Music must end at 11pm Friday & Saturday (10pm, Sunday-Thursday).
• DECORATIONS: The Host and the Host’s guests may bring decorations for their event at the Lodge. However, decorations may
only be affixed to the interior or exterior of the Lodge by tying them in place. No tape, glue, or other adhesive may be used to
affix decorations to the interior or exterior of the Lodge.
• ALTERATIONS: No alterations, changes, or replacements shall be made by any person to any part of the interior or exterior of
the Lodge. This prohibition includes walls, windows, ceilings, doorways, and all other parts of the Lodge.
• TABLES & CHAIRS: The Host may, but is not required to, use the tables and chairs provided at the Lodge. They are for indoor
use only. Neither linens nor centerpieces are provided by the Lodge. Tables and chairs are set up by The Host and their
affiliates.
• STORAGE: No materials shall be placed or stored in any of the storage rooms of the Lodge except with prior written approval
from Golden Valley. If storage space is assigned, it will be on a first come-first serve basis as coordinated by the Event
Coordinator or General Manager. Golden Valley assumes no responsibility for items which are placed in the Lodge.
• HEATING, COOLING, & LIGHTING: Neither the Host nor the Host’s guests may alter, supplement, install, or otherwise change
the heating, cooling, or lighting system of the Lodge. This does not prevent the Host or the Host’s guests from bringing
additional, free-standing lights or fans to the Lodge for the event.
• PARKING & GOLF CART RENTALS: Space rental includes 10 parking spots near The Lodge. All other guests of the event must
park in the overflow parking lot. The Host and the Host’s guests are not permitted to park any type of vehicle, including
motorcycles and bicycles, on lawns or sidewalks or areas not designated for vehicular parking. One (1) Golf Cart Rental is
included in the Say “I do”! Wedding Package. Additional rentals maybe available to guests.
18CLEANING POLICY: Upon completion of the event and use of the rented space, the Lodge must be returned to the
same condition as before the use. All rubbish and trash must be left in the appropriate containers provided. Littering is
prohibited inside or outside of the Lodge.
ACTIVITIES & AMENITIES: The Host and the Host’s guests—who are staying overnight only—have access to activities &
amenities at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™. Wristbands will be required to access the activities & amenities. Some
activities & amenities may cost extra and are based on availability at the time of request. These include but are not
limited to: Lazer Tag, Gem-Mining, and Arcade Alley.
RESPONSIBILITY, INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS, & INDEMNIFICATION: Golden Valley is not responsible for any
damages or injuries to persons or property, not directly caused by Golden Valley occurring during the use of the Lodge
for any function, whether or not authorized by Golden Valley.
• No person who is on the premises of the Lodge may cause any damage to persons or property. The Host is solely responsible
and liable for any damages which may occur at the Lodge on the event date.
• The Host agrees to and will indemnify and hold Golden Valley harmless against all losses, damages, costs, and expenses,
including reasonable attorney fees, resulting from the Host’s and/or the Host’s guests’ use of and/or presence at the Lodge on
the event date or any holdover period.
REVOCATION OF LICENSE: In the event that the Host or any of the Host’s guests violate any provision of the terms &
conditions, or otherwise misuse the Lodge, whether before, during or after the event date, Golden Valley may revoke
the Host’s license to use the Lodge and may eject the Host and the Host’s guests from the Lodge.
• Because of the difficulties and inconvenience in attempting to establish the loss to Golden Valley if the Host’s license is revoked
or the Host otherwise breaches the Terms & Condition, the Host will forfeit the security deposit as liquidated damages, and
not as a penalty, as the reasonable estimate of fair compensation for the foreseeable losses that might result from the
revocation or breach.
• Misuse of the Lodge includes, without limitation, violation of any of the provisions of the Terms & Conditions, violation of any
federal or state laws or local ordinances by the Host and/or the Host’s guests, disturbing the public quiet, creating a public or
private nuisance, or contributing to a situation that is deemed by representatives of Golden Valley having reasonable
knowledge of the circumstances to be potentially dangerous to public health, safety or welfare.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Entrance to the park constitutes permission for the management of Jellystone Park™ to photograph
and/or film anyone while on the premises and to use any resulting pictures for any lawful purpose without
compensation to the individual.
