Snow Adventure Information Pack
Overview:
Break free for 3 days skiing and snowboarding at Perisher, the largest
snow resort in Australia. With the most lifts and best snow you are
guarrenteed to have a mountain of fun.
This fun and exciting 3 day / 3 night adventure is designed for people
wanting to experience the beautiful snowy mountains of New South
Wales in winter. Escape the stress and pressures of the city by being
chauffeured to the beautiful snowy mountain ranges in a mini bus.
Here we will spend 3 days skiing and snowboarding on the famous
snowfields of Perisher situated in Mount Kosciusko National Park. With
terrain suitable for skiers and snowboarders from beginners to experts,
Perisher has 47 lifts across 1,200+ha of skiable areas.
For the more adventurous Perisher offers 6 terrain parks including 1
superpipe and 100km of marked cross-country trails. If you are a beginner
there is no need to worry daily lessons are available with fully qualified
instructors to help get you on your way!
At night we will return to the historic village of Jindabyne to relax by the
fire, talk with friends and indulge in delicious winter drinks & food, or
party the night away in one of the towns many pubs and clubs!
Whether you just want to relax and enjoy the atmosphere that the snowy
mountains provide or spend the day skiing/snowboarding then this
adventure is for you.

Friday 16/7/2010:
5.30pm to 6.00pm - Pack the mini bus and trailer at Pittwater Sports Centre,1525 Pittwater Road, Narrabeen, NSW, 2101.
6.00pm - Leave Pittwater Sports Centre for Best Western Hotel - Canberra.
8.00pm to 8.30pm - Arrive at Marulan Road House for dinner.
9.30pm to 10.00pm - Arrive at Best Western Hotel - Canberra.
Saturday 17/7/2010:
5.30am - Leave Best Western Hotel, Canberra, for Perisher via Jindabyne.
7.30am to 8.15am - Arrive at Jindabyne for breakfast, get changed into ski gear and collect lift passes.
9.00am - Arrive at Perisher and collect hire gear.
9.30am to 12.00pm - Skiing/Snowboarding at Perisher. (2.5hrs)
12.00pm to 1pm - Lunch at Perisher Mid Station. (Optional)
1.00pm to 4.00pm - Skiing/Snowboarding at Perisher. (3hrs)
4.00pm - Repack the mini bus and leave Perisher for Jindabyne.
5.30pm - Arrive at The Banjo Patterson Inn in Jindabyne and check into hotel.
6.30pm - Pre dinner drinks at Muster Bar in the hotel.
7.30pm - Dinner at The Banjo Patterson Inn.

4.00pm - Repack the mini bus and leave Perisher for Jindabyne.

7.30pm - Dinner at Mario’s Mine Shaft Restaurant and Bar.
Monday 19/7/2010:
6.30am - Breakfast at the hotel, pack trailer and minibus.
7.30am - Leave Jindabyne for Perisher.
8.30am to 1pm - Skiing/Snowboarding at Perisher. (4hrs)
1pm - Return all hire gear.
1.30pm - Leave Perisher for Jindabyne.
2.15pm- Arrive in Jindabyne change into travel clothes, have a brief late lunch & comfort break.
3.00pm- Leave Jindabyne for Sydney.
7.00pm to 7.30pm - Arrive at Marulan Road House for dinner.
10.30pm - Arrive at Pittwater Sports Centre, 1525 Pittwater Road, Narrabeen, NSW, 2101.

Please be on time for the bus. If you are not there at departure time the bus will leave without you. If this happens you will be responsible
for your own transport to and from the event/trip. Schedules and itinerary may change due to circumstances out of our control. If this occurs

- 6+ hrs of ski / boarding specific group fitness training.
- Fitness and weight training homework.
- Fitness and weight training guidance.

Important Information
Safety - Cutting Edge Adventures Australia prides itself on its commitment to client safety. All tour guides carry a
comprehensive medical kit, depending on the trip it may be left in the hotel room, bus or carried with them on a trek
The trek leader carries a mobile / satellite phone to maintain direct regular contact with the office and if needed medical
assistance and evacuation helicopter. (The mobile / satellite phone is for the tour guide use only. If a traveller wants to keep
in touch with family or work whilst they are on their trip they need to bring their own mobile / satellite phone).
Travel Insurance – Travel insurance is OPTIONAL and it should include Medical Evacuation and medical expenses including
hospital coverage in Australia. If you already have travel insurance, you MUST provide Cutting Edge Adventures Australia
with details of your Travel Insurance before the trip departs.
All your details should be on a covering page from your Travel Insurance Company and will include the following
information:

The insurance companies will only cover the evacuation of a traveller only if it is a medical emergency.
Doctor’s Advice – It is highly recommended to see your GP prior to travelling to the snow to receive the proper medical
advice regarding vaccinations, innoculations and prescription medication you may need prior to or during your trip.
Please speak to your GP regarding prescription medications that they would recommend or you may require. For example:
Anti-inflammatory (for aches and pains)
Inoculations required e.g Hep A, Hep B, Typhoid, Tetanus etc.
Any other medications your GP recommends
Emergency Evacuation Procedures - When our office receives a phone call that a medical evacuation is required for a
traveller the procedure is as follows:
Firstly, we contact your Travel Insurance Company (thus the reason we need the 24 hour emergency contact phone number).
We provide all your details to the Travel Insurance Company including the state of your health at the time and also if you
have any other medical conditions. We provide any information we have received from your medical details form. Cutting
Edge Adventures Australia will contact your Next of Kin. And we will constantly update the Next of Kin with information to
hand.
We wait for the Travel Insurance to organise for the medical evacuation. They will contact our tour to let us know what
time the evacuation is taking place and where the traveller will be taken to. The Travel Insurance Company will organise for
accommodation and flight changes, if needed.
Under 18 – if a child under the age of 18 requires evacuation, an adult must accompany the child in the helicopter. An adult
will need to authorise for medications etc. at the hospital.
Please Note: Cutting Edge Adventures Australia needs travellers to co-operate in our request for you to provide us with
your Travel Insurance Company’s details no later than 2 weeks prior to the departure of the trip.
Change of Details - If at any stage you change your personal details, please advise the Cutting Edge Adventures Australia
Immediately – i.e. Postal or email address, home phone number, mobile phone number, Next of Kin.
Terms and Conditions - We ask all trekkers to read Cutting Edge Adventures Australia’s Terms and Conditions. Some of the
above mentioned points are outlined in more detail in the Booking Terms and Conditions.
Conclusion - Every effort is made to make your trip as memorable as possible. Please remember, you are going to another
country and you may see things and experience things you may have never seen before. Keep an open mind; schedules/
itinerary may change without notice, internal transfers may be late, planes may be late due to bad weather, please
understand it is out of our control.

Terms & Conditions
Price:
I) Prices effective 01 April 2010. Prices are subject to change without notice.
ii) In the case of a price rise for bus transfers, airline or accommodation, travellers will be informed in writing. This price rise will affect all who
have not paid for their trip in full.
iii) Price quoted on the Booking Confirmation Letter is held firm for 14 days from date of letter. A booking made after this time is subject to
new price charges.
Booking:
i) Your travel reservation is confirmed on receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $295.00 (Early bird) or $345.00 (Standard) per person, per trip.
Deposit must be received within 14 days of booking or the reservation will automatically be cancelled. The deposit is non-transferable and
non-refundable. Please deposit all payments into the bank account stated below.
ii) The balance of payment is due on the 30/6/2010.
iii) With payment of deposit, it is Cutting Edge Adventures Australia’s understanding that the client has read and understood the Booking
Terms and Conditions, and has accepted them.
iv) Payment in full is required at time of booking for reservations made less than 30 days prior to departure from Australia.
v) Our price is a package price. If you wish to vary the package then you are liable for any accommodation, flight, travel, food or other
variations not agreed in writing with Cutting Edge Adventures Australia.
vi) Payment Plan: Below is the scheduled payment plan, you are required to pay off the tour in instalments. All payment must be received by
the instalment date, otherwise your position on the tour may be forfeited, including any previous payments.

ii) Cutting Edge Adventures Australia will provide each person with a ‘2010 Perisher Information Pack’. This is downloadable from the website. It
is the responsibility of the traveller to provide the items on the ‘what to bring list’.
iii) It is the traveller’s responsibility to pay for telephone calls, extra nights accommodation, extra meals and personal items whilst in New Zealand.
Trip Cancellation:
Cutting Edge Adventures Australia reserves the right to cancel tour departures. A minimum number of participants is required to operate each
tour. It may therefore be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure in which case an alternative tour or a full refund for that tour would be offered.
Amendment Fee:
Due to the complexity, staff time and communication costs of the booking processes, a charge of $25 will apply to every modification after the
original booking has been confirmed.
Cancellation Policy:
Due to the extensive organisation involved with touring, a strict cancellation policy will be applicable to compensate for costs and lost
revenue. Under no circumstance is the Deposit refundable. Once the Deposit is made the following cancellation fees will apply:
0 to 30 days out = Deposit, 2nd and 3rd Instalments are forfeited (100% cancellation fee).
31 to 60 days out = Deposit is forfeited and a $250.00 cancellation fee applies.
61 to 90 days out = Deposit is forfeited and a $125.00 cancellation fee applies.
91 to 120 days out = Deposit is forfeited and a $0.00 cancellation fee applies.
Itineraries:
Cutting Edge Adventures Australia reserves the right to cancel or alter tour itineraries as deemed necessary. Tour operation, or alterations may
occur due to road or weather conditions, strikes, public holidays and accommodation availability etc. Cutting Edge Adventures Australia gives
no guarantee as to the exact arrival or departure times as circumstances beyond our control may influence this.

Accommodation:
i) Accommodation is based on a twin share room. Accommodation may be upgraded to a single room, a single price room will be charged
to you.
ii) Due to illness, finishing the trip earlier, or for any other reason you change your accommodation whilst in Canberra or Jindabyne, you will
be liable to pay for the extra night (s).
iii) Hotel Management requirements are: for other accommodation other than the dates given to the Hotel by Cutting Edge Adventures
Australia, needs to be paid for by the client at the time of check-in. Cutting Edge Adventures Australia provides 3 nights accommodation.
iv) Any extra nights are the responsibility of the client, and client must pay the hotel upon check-in.
v) Hotel accommodation can be upgraded to a different hotel, but will be organised by client. Cutting Edge Adventures Australia provides a
package price, which includes the 6 nights accommodation twin share.
GP’s Clearance:
I) Travellers should have a high level of physical fitness and mobility and should be able to negotiate uneven surfaces, snow, ice and climb
stairs as a program requirement.
ii) All Adventures involve physical activity every day over the 7 day trip.
iii) Travellers are required to send in a Doctors clearance certificate/letter no later than two (2) weeks before the departure of the trip. In the
case of a Doctors clearance certificate/letter not being provided to Cutting Edge Adventures Australia 2 weeks before the departure of the
trip, Cutting Edge Adventures Australia has the right to refuse traveller’s participation in the proposed trip.
iv) It is the traveller’s responsibility to consult their doctor for a Doctor Clearance letter and vaccination requirements.
v) Cutting Edge Adventure Australia reserves the right to refuse participation or retire any traveller/s who are deemed to be unfit or
unprepared to complete the Trip/Adventure.
Travel and Health Insurance:
I) It is mandatory for each traveller to have a suitable personal travel insurance policy prior to your departure from Australia.
ii) The policy must cover the unforeseen cancellation of your trip, the loss of personal items, the cost of emergency evacuation by air
from any point in Australia if necessary and medical/hospital treatment within Australia. You will be required to complete a medical
questionnaire on booking.
iii) Cutting Edge Adventures Australia requires all details of your Travel Insurance no later than two - four (2-4) weeks before the
Commencement of training. Details will include your full name, policy number, dates of travel, destinations, the Travel Insurance Company’s
24 hour emergency phone number, etc.
iii) All baggage and personal effects are at all times and in all circumstances at the risk of the client. Baggage insurance is recommended.
Children:
An adult must accompany children under the age of 18. Adult supervision is required at all times. Any adult accompanying children will be
responsible for any behaviour not acceptable by Cutting Edge Adventures Australia.
Damage:
I) Cutting Edge Adventures Australia accepts no responsibility for any damage caused by clients. For example: at the hotel, transfers and
transportation etc..
ii) Any traveller/s who have caused damage will be required to pay for damage done, and Cutting Edge Adventure Australia staff will assess
this.
Retiring from the Trip:
Early departure from the trip (i.e. less than the days specified) will incur the cost of extra staff, transportation, administration costs and all
other expenses incurred in returning you back to Australia. The traveller will be responsible for these extra costs.
Emergency Evacuation:
I) In the event of an emergency evacuation, Cutting Edge Adventures Australia staff will assess the situation and they will act accordingly.
ii) If a helicopter is needed Cutting Edge Adventures Australia Staff will contact your ‘Next of Kin’, as stated in your booking Information forms.
iii) Costs for ‘Medical/Emergency Evacuation’ will be charged to the Traveller.
Clothing and Equipment:
I) Cutting Edge Adventures Australia will provide each traveller with a ‘What to Bring list’ as a recommendation on what to take on the trip.
This ‘What to bring list’ is only a recommendation.

Australia and any of its employees, contractors, associated companies or trusts, agents or affiliates from any liability now or in the future
arising from any medical or physical conditions I may have, whether or not they are known to me prior to commencing my agreement/
contract with Cutting Edge Adventures Australia and Cutting Edge Fitness Australia and/or declared on this form.
Acknowledgment of Risks, Injury and Obligations
I acknowledge that physical exercise/activities at/with Cutting Edge Adventures Australia and Cutting Edge Fitness Australia may be a
dangerous recreational activity and that by participating in it I am exposed to certain risks.
I acknowledge and understand that whilst participating in physical exercise/activities at/with Cutting Edge Adventures Australia and
Cutting Edge Fitness Australia I may be injured, physically or mentally, or may be killed, or my personal property may be lost or damaged.
Other persons participating in physical exercise/activities at/with Cutting Edge Adventures Australia and Cutting Edge Fitness Australia. may
cause me injury or may damage my property, or I may cause injury to other persons or damage their property.
The conditions in which the activity is conducted may vary without warning.
I may be injured or die or suffer damage to my property as a result of the negligence or breach of contract of Cutting Edge Adventures
Australia and Cutting Edge Fitness Australia.
I assume the risk of and responsibility for any injury, death or property damage resulting from my participation in physical exercise/activities
at/with Cutting Edge Adventures Australia and Cutting Edge Fitness Australia.

I am aware that your adventure trip, in addition to usual dangers and risks inherent has certain additional dangers and risks some of
which may include: Physical exertion for which I may not be prepared, weather extremes subject to sudden and unexpected change, and
remoteness to normal medical services; evacuation difficulties if I am disabled, and civil disorder.
I accept all the inherent risks of the proposed adventure trip and possibility of personal injury, death, property damage or loss resulting
there from.
I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of adventure travel is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and
activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work and that these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement,
being a reason for my participation.
I agreed that if I suffer injury or illness that you can, at my cost, arrange medical treatment and emergency evacuation service as you deem
essential for my safety. I agree to indemnify and keep you indemnified against any claims, charges, demands, proceedings or other liabilities
occasioned through the matters contemplated by this document.
I waive any and all claims I may now and in the future have against, and release from all liability and agree not to sue you, and its officers,
employees, guides, agents or representatives (collectively staff ) for any personal injury, death, property damage, or loss sustained by me as
a result of my participation in an adventure trip with you, due to any cause whatsoever.
I confirm that I am over the age of 18 and that I have read and understood this Agreement prior to signing it and agree that this agreement
will be binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and successors.
I agree that this Agreement shall be governed in all respects by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Australia.

video, audio recordings, and textual material for advertising purposes, such as media publications, presentations, brochures, display boards,
newsletters, websites and other electronic forms of media.
I understand that such media and all subsequent uses of the media; become the property of Cutting Edge Adventures Australia and may be
disseminated to the public via appropriate media channels.
I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photographs, or printed or electronic matter that may be used in conjunction
with them now or in the future, whether that use is known to me or unknown, and I waive any right to royalties or other compensation
arising from or related to the use of the photographs. I understand that Cutting Edge Adventures Australia retains the copyright to the
original materials.
I hereby agree to release, defend, and hold harmless Cutting Edge Adventures Australia an subordinates, including any firm publishing and
or distributing the finished product in whole or in part, whether on paper or via electronic media, from and against any claims, damages
or liability arising from or related to the use of the photographs, including but not limited to any misuse, distortion, blurring, alteration,
optical illusion or use in composite form, either intentionally or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in taking, processing, reduction or
production of the finished product, its publication or distribution.
