“To witness the famous holes that we have heard about over the years, such as the "Postage stamp" at Royal Troon, the
final hole at Carnoustie where John Vanderveldt had his famous 'brain snap' in the burn that fronts the final hole just
brings a new meaning to the pressure the golfers must be under. I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 weeks we were away and
can now tick off a few of my "Bucket list" items. David Wills, Former Captain of Elanora GC

Day 2 (Thur. 19 July)
GOLF: The New Course St Andrews - Holes: 18 - Par: 71 Length: 6625 yards
      Tee Time: from 09:20am

Designed by Old Tom Morris and opened in 1895, this is hardly a ‘new’ course! It is, in fact, a classic links course and a
first-class golfing challenge. With the traditional out and back layout, the New is characterized by well-designed
greenside and fairway bunkers, and tough homeward holes. Although overshadowed by its illustrious neighbor, the New
Course is a must play for any golfer visiting the town of St Andrews.

Day 4 (Sat 21st July)
GOLF: The PGA® Centenary Course Gleneagles – Holes: 18 Par: 72 Length: 7296 yards
       Tee Time: from 09:30am

Even for a champion and acclaimed golf architect like Nicklaus, The PGA Centenary Course was a challenge. It had to be
unique in its challenge, a golf course in the modern design ethos that at its fullest stretch tests the greatest players,
while, in the immortal phrase of Bobby Jones, "offering problems a man may attempt according to his ability... never
hopeless for the lesser player nor failing to concern and interest the expert". A feature of The PGA Centenary Course is
the feast of views of the spectacular countryside in which Gleneagles is set. Putting on the two-tier second green, you
are distracted by the lush panorama of the rich Perthshire straths. As you move westwards over the next few holes, the
rugged Grampians come into view on the right, then distantly purple ahead, Ben Vorlich and the mountains above the
Trossachs.

GOLF: Kingsbarns Golf Course – Holes: 18 Par:72 Length: 7227 yards
       Tee Time: from 07:20am

While its golf origins date back to 1793, the multi-award-winning Kingsbarns Golf Links only opened in the summer of
2000. It immediately established itself as one of the world’s must-play links courses – debuting at 46th on Golf
Magazine’s Top 100 Worldwide list. Since 2001, Kingsbarns has co-hosted the annual European Tour’s elite Dunhill
Links Championship along with the Old Course and Carnoustie. Kingsbarns has become a favourite destination for first-
time and returning international and UK golf visitors to St Andrews. This reputation is based on a combination of
layability, dramatic seaside location, classic links turf and staff dedicated to personal service.

Day 8 (Wed 25th July)
GOLF: Western Gailes GC - Holes:18 Par: 71 Length: 7014 yards
      Tee times TBC

Western Gailes Golf Club lies between Irvine Bay and the railway on Ayrshire's prodigious stretch of links
coastline. Formed in 1897, the Club has hosted a number of prestigious tournaments, including the Scottish Amateur
Championship, the 1972 Curtis Cup, the 1964 PGA Championship, and in 2007 was host to the European Men's
Amateur Team Championship. The course is used for final qualifying when the Open is played at Turnberry or Royal
Troon, and also as a final qualifying venue for the Seniors Open. This natural links course offers undulating fairways,
occasionally interrupted by three meandering burns. Greens that are cleverly located in naturally folded ground, some
protected by burns whilst others guarded by sand dunes. Together with the line of dunes running down the coastal
stretch from the 5th to the 13th holes, the out of bounds wall from the 14th onwards, the plentiful supply of pot
bunkers plus the meandering burns, all combine to present variety and a memorable challenge.

Day 9 (Thu 26th July)
GOLF: Turnberry Ailsa Golf Course - Holes: 18 Par: 71 Length: 6474 yards
       Tee Time: TBC

Named after the third Marquess of Ailsa, this Championship course is one of golf's storied places. Home to four Open
Championships, Ailsa has shaped some of the most remarkable moments in the tournament's history. Set alongside the
glorious Ayrshire coastline, with Arran and Ailsa Craig as a stunning backdrop, it is one of the finest golfing destinations
in the world. The Ailsa is one of the world’s most loved golf courses and has had the privilege of hosting the Open
Championship four times, including the unforgettable 1977 Duel in the Sun. All 18 holes have seen changes made with
huge areas of turf moved between the various holes to complete the refurbishment.

Tonight, a Farewell Dinner including Drinks is included.

Day 10 (Fri 27th July)
GOLF: Play Prestwick Golf Course - Holes: 18 Par: 71 Length: 6544 yards
      Tee Time: TBC

Prestwick is famous as the initial originator and sponsor of The Open Championships, the oldest of golf’s four major
championships. The River Pow, or the Pow Burn, flows through the golf club's property, and the river is a natural
obstacle. There are several sand dunes in the center of the course. The tallest of the three is Pow Hill, the next tallest is
The Queens Jack, and the third tallest is Cearcevlock Hill. Blind shots from the tee at the short fifth and on the approach
to the par-4 17th add considerably to the mystery and charm of the course. The most famous hole is the third, a par 5,
dogleg right, of 500 yards, where the fairway simply ends about 300 yards from the tee, as the land descends into a
vast, deep bunker, nicknamed the 'Cardinal', about 50 yards across, which is buttressed by railway sleepers. Many
championship hopes have died in this bunker. The Pow Burn flanks the hole down its entire right side. The Irish Sea /
Firth of Clyde form the western boundary of the course, flanked by sand dunes.

“The fact that Prestwick was the original site for the Open Championships simply confirms the history of the club and its
place as once of the best golf experiences in the world” – Ernie Els
