On behalf of the CARO Annual Scientific Meeting organizing committee, I invite you to join us at the 2019 CARO Annual Scientific
Meeting in Halifax, NS from October 2-5 2019.
The CARO Scientific Meeting is an amusing and unique opportunity to foster collaborative relationships and enrich our knowledge with
what is new in radiation treatment techniques, protocols, and specific research updates. It is this premier meeting for Canadian
Radiation Oncology, and Radiation Medicine where we advance our continuing education and professional development, while
renewing friendships and networking with our colleagues and industry partners.
This year we celebrate the 33rd Annual Meeting with the theme of Ablative Radiation Therapy: Mastering the ART. We have invited
speakers to inform, update and educate us on the modern tendencies of curative and palliative use of SBRT and SRS for improving
treatment for our patients with various cancers. As always, we come away from this meeting with information and new ways to
advance and further the field of Radiation Oncology and Radiation Medicine.
With symposia led by experts from Canada and abroad, proffered papers, discussion sessions, poster displays and discussion from
researchers in the beginning of their careers and those more seasoned, it will be an exciting and inspiring meeting in beautiful Halifax,
NS.
