2020 ICON APPLICATION
 A POUND® ICON is an ambassador of our brand, our beliefs and our mission. A POUND® ICON is a master trainer
  who elevates our brand’s impact and educates new POUND® Pros at trainings across the globe. Teachers and
 motivators, ICONs are the fitness rebels at the heart of our ever-growing family. With humility and a passion for
                       POUND®, our ICONs support the bassline of our company, our Pros.

POUND® HQ is specifically looking for ICONs in Germany, Spain, Scandinavia, East Europe, South America and
   the Middle East. With limited positions available, applicants from other areas are always welcome to apply.

   Applications must be received by Monday, February 3rd, 2020, 8:00am Pacific Standard Time (PST) to be
considered. If selected to proceed in the ICON training progress, candidates will be invited to audition over 3 days
 in Los Angeles, CA in April 15-17, 2020. Invited applicants will be responsible for securing their own travel and
                                            lodging accommodations.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
•   You’ve met all the minimum requirements

•   You have outstanding lecture and presentation skills

•   Your choreography is accurate and technically sound

•   You are inspiring, knowledgeable and you deliver clear cues and corrections

•   You understand and can eloquently verbalize the POUND® brand, key concepts
    and teaching techniques

•   You are organized, highly professional and demonstrate quality written
    communication

•   You embody music, movement and the permission to rock

•   We can’t imagine a team without you!

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

•   Active member of The Label and consistently teaching POUND® for a minimum of
    6 months

•   Must reside within one of POUND®’s course regions and have legal working status

•   Hold an up-to-date, recognized group fitness instructor certification for your
    country or an applicable university degree. Online certifications will not be
    accepted. Candidates from the United States must have either the AFAA Group
    Fitness Certification or their ACE Group Fitness Certification and Canadian
    applicants must have the Canfitpro Fitness Instructor Specialist certification

•   Current CPR/AED certification *if offered in your country*
    (online certifications will not be accepted)

•   High-level knowledge of POUND®, the structure and science behind the workout
    and what the company believes in

•   Fluent in English

•   Willing to travel

•   Personal professional liability insurance will be required by official start date

APPLICATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 3, 2020. 8AM (PST)
         Email all items identified below together in one email to shannon@poundfit.com with
        the subject line “POUND ICON APPLICATION – [COUNTRY]” (Example: POUND ICON
                      APPLICATION – INDONESIA) by the deadline specified below.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

•   ICON APPLICATION FORM (page 5)

•   CV/RESUME

•   Names, emails and phone numbers of 3 professional REFERENCES

•   Link to two (2) unlisted YouTube or password protected Vimeo VIDEOS

VIDEO ONE—TEACHING at least 15 consecutive minutes of a POUND® class to a minimum of
5 participants.

      Video should include a 2-3-minute POUND® class introduction including a basic explanation and
     demonstration of the POUND® positions (we want to see how you typically start a POUND® class).
     If the class introduction is not in English, a second, separate introduction in English should be filmed
     and submitted.

     Video must clearly showcase your facial expressions, body positions and cues. Athleticism, strength
     and precision of movement will be evaluated. Ample modifications should be demonstrated.

     Participants in your class must be visible. Corrections to form should be provided when necessitated
     by class participants. Teaching cues and modifications are expected to be appropriate to your class
     participants and their physical performance

VIDEO TWO—LECTURES (lectures should not exceed 5 minutes per topic and include the most up-to-date
POUND® curriculum).

Topic #1: What are POUND® Pods?

      Explain the different components of POUND® Pods and how they combine to create Sheet Music.

      In Set Position, please explain and demonstrate the first four (4) POUND® Pods of Set Level 1 ‘Big Girls’
      by Salt N Pepa. Applicants will be expected to showcase their ability to count music correctly during
      their demonstration.

Topic #2: What is The Label?

      Explain what The Label is, it’s components and how it is contributes to the success of POUND® Pros.

Topic #3: Key Teaching Concepts

      Explain the Key Teaching Concepts ‘Stop’ and ‘Wrangle’.

      Demonstrate their use in the choreography of Set Level 3 Track “Hit the Road Jack!” by Throttle.

LECTURE REQUIREMENTS:

Please do not read off of cue cards or notes. Using cue cards or notes will negatively affect your application.
Footage may also be submitted via hard copy DVD. Please mail DVD’s to 2984 Allesandro St. Suite 100. Los
Angeles, CA 90039. United States. DVD’s must be marked with your full name, email address, phone number
and the title ICON APPLICATION”
