Lake Arrowhead Country Club Lady Niners
Hello Ladies,
We'd like to take this opportunity to welcome back our Lady Niner members and to invite any and
all women golf members to join us for another season of fun, friendship, laughs, and oh yes,
GOLF!
Our 2020 Board and Committee Chairs will be:

We play nine holes of "no stress" golf weekly on Tuesday mornings with a check in time of 10:30
and a tee time of 11:00 a.m. and guaranteed play on the FRONT NINE. After golf, we all get to-
gether for lunch. Informal Play will begin on Tuesday, May 5th with our Opening Day of play on
Tuesday June 2nd. Please mark your calendar for our Welcome Back Brunch at 11:00 a.m. on
Friday, May 29th to be hosted this year at the home of Jeri Fox.
This season we will continue with our "Nine plus Nine" option for those who want to play the
front nine, grab a snack, and head directly to the back nine. In the works are a hosted cocktail
party for you and your significant other, a special Niner/Putter Mixer, a Pool Party, our annual
Nine & Dine Charity Event, as well as special games each week with cash prizes for all levels of
golf.
The entire Lady Niners' Board is very excited for Summer 2020! Membership forms can be down-
loaded from LACC’s website, picked up at the Club – Ladies Locker Room / Niner’s Bulletin
Board, or emailed to you by Paula Humbert or Nancy Lutz. Once completed you can drop it along
with your check in the amount of $75.00 payable to Lady Niners, at the Club’s reception desk, or
mailed to LACC, Attn Lya Silva. Early receipt of your application by May 1st will ensure your
information in our Lady Niner Roster.

WHO ARE THE "LADY NINERS"? We play 9 holes of golf rather than the full 18. Our goals are to learn the rules and skills of golf so that once we have improved our game and gained self-confidence, we can move on (should we so choose) to the more competitive LACC WGA (18ers). It is a very fun and social group. We play on Tuesdays at 11:00 AM and then have lunch with the group afterward. We have all levels of golfers and don't particularly stress the competitiveness of golfing, but rather learning golf terms, etiquette, rules & reg- ulations, and improving our skills while having a very good time doing it! The Lady Niners offer a series of weekly golf clinics with our As- sistant Pro. Most of us have found these lessons to be very help- ful in improving our games (regardless of how we’ve been golf- ing). The lessons focus on putting, bunkers (sand traps), chip- ping, full swing and finally a few holes on the course to get tips while we play. There are a maximum of 8 ladies taking the les- sons which will be scheduled on Tuesdays at 9:30 AM. We do not "teach or instruct" while on the golf course, so it's im- portant that you know the basics of golf before you join our golf group. Of course, advice is available if you desire it, and we certainly do chat quite a bit about things that are happening while we're playing. You will learn how many strokes it costs you when your ball goes in the water, "out-of-bounds" penalties, etc.. We are also very encouraging of one another, which is probably the best thing about our group.
