A Message from Parks Director, Maria P. Giustizia Dear Resident, Over the course of these last few months, the Mayor and the Board of Trustees, along with the Recreation Department, have been hard at work, reinventing our seasonal programming, in order to provide you and your family with summer activities that are both fun and safe. It gives the Mayor and I great pleasure to offer a variety of recreation programs for the whole family to enjoy this summer. Now more than ever, we are looking for a sense of normalcy in our lives. As such, we hope you are encouraged to take advantage of the recreation programs that have been reformatted to provide a safe and secure pastime for your children. Please understand that as New York State modifies its protocols and changes their guidelines, we may be able to alter what programs we can operate. We encourage you to check our village website (www.patchoguevillage.org) and the Recreation Department’s Facebook page often for all updates. Wishing you and your family a safe and fun-filled summer! Sincerely, Maria P. Giustizia Director of Recreation & Parks A Message from Village Hall Dear Resident, The Village of Patchogue has a rich history of providing the best in recreation for our residents and 2021 is no exception. Despite the challenges of the past year, it is with great pleasure to report that most of the summer programs that you and your family enjoy are returning. Once again, it’s “fun in the sun” time in Patchogue and I commend our Parks and Recreation staff for their hard work to bring you another great summer. You can rest assured that every program and event has been designed with your family’s health and safety as our #1 priority. In 2021, you can look forward to the return of the Snapper Derby, the Old Timers Softball Game, Pickleball at the Four Sisters Park, swimming at the Patchogue Beach Club pool, Basketball, Yoga, Sailing Lessons, Senior Programs, concerts at the Bandshell and many more activities for the entire family. As you look through this recreation guide, I’m sure you’ll find something for everyone. Finally, I hope that you and your family will take advantage of all the great things that we have to offer and I’d like to wish all of you a safe and fun-filled summer in the Village of Patchogue. Sincerely, Mayor Paul Pontieri
