Dearest Families and Friends of St. Joseph Catholic School,
Welcome to our 20th annual A Knight to Remember! Our theme this year is Celebrating the Past, Roaring into the Future. This virtual event is our
Home and School Association’s largest fundraising event of the year. I thank you with a full heart, for showing your support for what we do at St.
Joseph’s by being present with us tonight.
Even though our event is a little different this year, our goal is always the same: to bring people together for a night of fun and fellowship, in support
of the ministry of Catholic education at St. Joseph Catholic School. This event follows nineteen other successful A Knight to Remember events.
Our wonderful chairpersons, sponsors, and volunteers have been very hard at work with school staff behind the scenes to make this night enjoyable
for you, and of benefit to the school’s fundraising efforts. Such an outstanding group effort for a virtual event like this is a perfect example of the
commitment our community has to this school. We accomplish great things through the generosity of the families and friends of St. Joseph Catholic
School.
Historically, the Fund-A-Project segment of the event is dedicated to raise money for specific items or projects that will enrich our school. Last
year, we were able to use funds raised to help cover the cost of installing new smartboards across the campus. This year, we ask for your generosity
to complete an outdoor project meant to enrich the prayer life of our students. With your help, we hope to install a Stations of the Cross Garden
located in the rear of the school, near the outdoor classroom. Faculty will be able to bring their classes out to the garden and walk the path from
station to station together in prayer, reflecting on Jesus’ Passion and our salvation. The scope of the project includes: the installation of the fifteen
wooden Stations of the Cross (including Jesus’ Resurrection), attractive planted landscaping elements, pathway construction, a dry rock bed, and
improvements to the poor drainage that exists in various areas at the rear of the school. Please consider a donation to help us build this beautiful
garden for spiritual reflection and prayer. This space will be enjoyed for many generations of Knights to come. We hope you will support this worthy
project.
Again, many thanks to our chairpersons, sponsors, and volunteers for their support and preparations in making tonight a very special virtual event.
We appreciate all the Home and School Association does to raise money throughout the year. These funds are placed into the school’s operating
budget, which helps to pay for additional expenses not covered by tuition.
Thank you for taking the time to be with us tonight. Do not forget to claim five service hours for registering for this event. There is no charge to
register, but your financial support this evening will impact the lives of our children today, and for the children in years to come. May God bless you
always!
In Christ’s service,
Diane Price, M.Ed.L.
