As president of the Friends of the

The community support that we continue to receive is extraordinary! We are proud to serve our community as
we work towards our mission of bringing the arts – in all forms – to our region. To that end, the Schepis
Museum is proud to announce a summer full of activities for all ages! Our current exhibits highlight a fantastic
Louisiana artist – Monica Hebert and the Architecture of Caldwell Parish. In June, we will host 3 separate
exhibits – 3-C Cowgirl Photography showcases the stunning beauty of ranch life through vivid photography by
3 young, up and coming photographers, Brandi Williams brings a new perspective with her rich paintings and
photography, Amanda Roe showcases a series inspired by photographs of soldiers and their dogs during World
War 1. During the last week of June and July, the Schepis will host an afternoon summer art camp for kids
grades 3-10 as well as an evening painting class for adults on June 27th, and a dinner theater July 26 and 27th.
These are just a few of the many events coming to the Schepis in the coming months!

However, none of these events would be possible without the incredible support of our community! We hope
that you will join or renew your membership to the Friends of the Schepis so that we may count you among our
generous supporters! Joining or renewing is easy – simply complete the attached form and mail to the Schepis
(PO Box 743, Columbia, La 71418) or drop it off at the Schepis on your next visit! If you have not already,
please subscribe to our e-mail newsletter by visiting our webpage at www.schepismuseum.com so that you will
be among the first to hear about all our events and receive special invitations to our opening events!

Don’t forget – the Schepis Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization and we are able to accept your charitable
contributions, for more information call the Schepis at 649-9931. Again, thank you for your support and we
look forward to seeing you at the Schepis soon!

exhibition is titled: “ I CAME HOME”

Ms. Hebert, a Lake Charles native returned home 9 years ago, after
living in other parts of the country including NYC and Washington,

created upon her return home. Living away for so many years

League of New York City.
