Whether you have pets or just love animals in general, the little ones will love being able to make their own paper accordion dog (just like Slinky from Toy Story) and their own paper plate sheep. Both activities provide a good opportunity to work on fine motor skills like folding, cutting, and tearing with the sheep activity also providing a sensory element with the cotton balls. LIFEGUARD CLASSES AQUATIC CERTIFICATION CLASSES CALLING ALL LIFEGUARDS! Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation wants YOU to work as a certified lifeguard during our year-round swimming season. We’re excited about building a great team of professional lifeguards and therefore reserve the right to hire only the most qualified applicants for all positions and do not guarantee employment based on training completion. This course is a blended learning course format (19.5 hours in person, 7.5 hours online). The prerequisites for this course include being 15 years of age and having passed the precourse swimming skills test. Runners will enjoy the path along the Big Sioux River as they partake in a 5,000 or 10,000 meters course. Turn around points will be noted along the route to aide runners along the way. Participants that are registered before December 15th will receive a Frosty Frolics Fun Run/Walk t-shirt.
