EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
We are Forest Park!! What does that mean to you – is it schools’
Football, Baseball, Basketball, Softball, Swimming? What is it?
Is it your teen club? Is it volunteering in the community, school
or church? Maybe it’s having a picnic or cookout in Starr Park or
watching the kids on the playground. Perhaps it’s being at the Yard
Sale, or one of the Festivals, a concert, Movie Night or the Christmas
Celebration.
We are in the midst of a major redevelopment of Starr Park with a Master Plan. Have
you noticed the new scoreboard at Kiwanis Field or how about the new fence (replacing the old
wall) at the Stadium? Things are happening!!
You need to know the outdoor pool will be resurfaced, as well as the deck will get a face
lift; and in the Fall we will be building a new bath house at the outdoor pool and a restroom will
be built at the Fountain Park on Main Street.
New trails are coming for all you walkers. Opportunities for change are also coming at
the State Farmers Market. Redevelopment continues on Main Street and at Ft. Gillem.
