                                              OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL ARTISTS
The City has exciting new opportunities for Brooklyn Center artists to make
an impact on their community. As part of the City’s Arts Master Plan, we are
launching a Stormwater Drain Art Project and a Sportsmanship Signage Project.
The Stormwater Drain Art Project will serve as part of the City’s efforts to reduce
litter throughout Brooklyn Center; the art will portray anti-litter and environmental
messages. Artists who are approved through our application process will be
assigned a stormwater drain to display their painted art on. The City is also looking
for graphic designers to partner with to design some creative signs promoting good
sportsmanship to display at our parks and ballfields. Anyone interested in these
