of Hampstead by foot, connecting popular green spaces like Councillors, Applewood and Hampstead Parks. While
it makes extensive use of sidewalks across the town, it also includes a number of connecting walkways between streets,
including the John P. Humphrey path between Thurlow and Granville Roads, and Centennial Lane between Lyncroft
and Finchley Roads, as well as walking paths in various parks.

TEEN SELF-DEFENCE WORKSHOP (12+ years old)
During the “hands-on” self-defence workshop, students will use full force, disabling responses, against a fully
padded assailant. They will learn how to realistically defend themselves and practice clear verbal boundary
setting. Our session will empower you and help you develop the necessary mindset to deal with the fear,
confusion and panic that occurs during a violent confrontation. Visit his website (manoli.ca) to view pictures,
videos & articles of his sessions. The workshop will be given by George Manoli – a police officer who holds black

The information below is subject to change.
MISSION: Montreal West/Hampstead Hockey Association was founded with a single goal: to offer safe, fun,
competitive single letter hockey to youth in our community who want to play. Our association strives to provide a
structure that’s conducive to meeting this goal of fair and safe play. Each year, our hockey committee reviews and
evaluates current league rules and EHL and Lac St Louis procedures to ensure we are offering the best and safest
experience possible for each player.
TEAM FORMATION: The Hockey Director prepares single letter evaluations sessions at the beginning of the season
to assess player skills. Players are assigned to teams based on skill level to create teams of even strength.

TIPS TO ASSIST WITH POOL CLEANLINESS & SAFETY
   1. Persons with long hair (longer than 3”) are encouraged to wear a bathing cap or use an elastic band. This helps
maintain a clean environment as well as avoid costly repairs.
   2. All persons are encouraged to use sunscreen. Sunscreen should be applied 15–30 minutes before
exposure to the sun. Please do not apply sunscreen and enter the pool immediately, as it will wash off, affect
water quality and lose its sun-protection effectiveness.
   3. For additional safety, a ratio of 1:1 adult swimmers to non-swimmers is required, regardless of age.
   4. All non-swimmers are encouraged to take swimming lessons.
   5. Each pool patron shall clean up his or her own debris from the designated eating area and place all trash
and waste paper in the garbage cans provided.
