Slovak Cross-Country Skiing Championship (Majstrovstvá Slovenskej
republiky v behu na lyžiach)
The top cross-country skiing event in Slovakia, where competitors will compete in the youth,
junior, senior and veteran categories. Competitors registered in the Slovak Ski Association as
well as unregistered cross-country skiers can take part. The sporting event is preceded by a
cultural program – the opening ceremony of the Slovak Cross-Country Skiing Championship.

Hero Season Trophy Tour 2019

FEBIOFEST 2019
Febiofest International Film Club Festival - 26th edition (Medzinárodný festival filmových
klubov Febiofest - 26. ročník).
The main feature of the program will be the now traditional short film competition part
entitled In the Center of Europe. This year will also feature 20 actors', documentary,
animated and experimental films of up to 30 minutes from Slovakia, the Czech Republic,
Hungary, Poland and Austria, which were created in 2018.

International Mountain Film and Adventure Festival Mountain and
City (Medzinárodný festival horského filmu a dobrodružstva Hory a
mesto) – 20th year
At the festival, audiences have the opportunity to see extreme sport documentaries and
mountain-themed adventure films, listen to interesting lectures and watch remarkable
presentations by adventure clubs, and to take a look at several exhibitions of photographs
from adventure clubs, and to look at photo exhibitions. There are new ropes-course
attractions for children, climbing races and exhibition stands with outdoor equipment.

Modra Wine Cellars Day (Deň modranských pivníc)
The free royal town of Modra has been an important place in the Little Carpathian region
since time immemorial. The aim of the event is to return the ancient Modra cellars to their
past glory and make a piece of cultural and technological heritage available to visitors. The
first year of this event took place in modest proportions in 2004 and since then it has
enjoyed greater interest not only by visitors but also by winemakers. Around 35 wine cellars,
40 winemakers and approximately 1,500 visitors participate in the event each year which
brings the city to life.

Rušňoparáda (Railway parade)
Rušňoparáda is the largest meeting of supporters of railway nostalgia and modernity in the
east of Slovakia, which is regularly held in the ZSSK train depot in Košice. The organizers of
the event are the railway company of Slovakia (ZSSK) and the Detská železnica Košice civic
association. It is a traditional family event aimed at introducing unique historic locomotives
as well as modern trains and locomotives. Visitors will literally be able to touch and feel
them. For children, entertaining attractions and creative workshops, snacks, music,
screenings and more are prepared from morning until evening.

This reconstruction of Napoleon’s Siege of Bratislava recalls the historically significant battles

Celebration of roses (Slávnosť ruží)
Dolná Krupá Musical Museum annually prepares for lovers of flowers an event in honor of
the "rose" Countess Marie Henrieta Chotek – an important breeder, rose breeder and owner
of the largest rose garden in Central Europe, who dedicated her entire life to growing roses.
In addition to music concerts in the beautiful fresco hall, the event includes a rose exhibition,
where you can also find a new variety - the rose of M. H. Chotek. You can witness the beauty
of the extensive English park during the historic carriage walk. You can taste quality wines,
sweet mead, or delicious honey cakes. As part of the event, the exhibition and exhibition
areas of the manor house and the Ludwig van Beethoven commemorative room, for whom
Dolná Krupá was a frequent and popular place of residence, are open to the public.

Ceramic markets (Keramické trhy)
The 16th edition of the ceramic’s producers' mastery presentation of various styles from
Slovakia and abroad along with its sale. Since 2004, the event has taken place on the second

(1647). The event also includes an exhibition of ceramics in the Little Carpathian Museum, a
competition for pottery spinning on potter's wheels and craft workshops.

The Coronation Festival in Bratislava is one of the largest cultural events in Slovakia. The

Opening of the summer spa season in Piešťany - 28th year

Celebration with a rich cultural program, which has officially begun the summer spa season
in Piešťany since 1992. It is held every year during the first weekend in June. The main
program traditionally takes place on Saturdays lasting the whole day. An inseparable part is
the ceremonial blessing of the springs on Spa Island, the parade through the city and the
official opening in the Music Pavilion in the city park. From the afternoon to late evening
hours a number of performances and concerts take place in the Music Pavilion in the city

The biggest urban festival of folk culture and crafts Craftsmen Days ÚĽUV- will once again
visit the streets of Bratislava's Old Town on the last weekend in August. Traditional crafts
and domestic production, which is the main festival attraction, will present more than 100

ŠKODA BIKE OPEN TOUR 2019 Cycling marathon
This mountain cycle marathon has a special route intended not just for active athletes to
complete, but also is suitable for beginner cyclists and children accompanying their parents,
with the route threading its way through an attractive area of the northern Slovak Paradise.
This gorgeous part of the Slovak Paradise is the starting point for rides past the gorges of
Suchá Belá, Prielom Hornádu, Piecky, Veľký Sokol, Sokolia Dolina and Kysele, to the
observation area at Tomášovský Výhľad and historic Kláštorisko, turning the cycling route
into Slovakia’s own traditional bicycle marathon.
