Preschool Building Blocks
                                             The Building Blocks Preschool Programs are dedicated to providing a safe environment for
                                             each child to grow emotionally, physically, socially, and intellectually. Our teachers make a
                                             commitment to support families and children by following Developmentally Appropriate
                                             Practices. In our programs, each child is recognized and respected as an individual, and each is
                                             nurtured and cherished. We strive to embrace your child’s strengths while helping them build
                                             self-confidence and self-esteem. Through this process, our hope is that your child will leave our
                                             programs feeling accomplished and ready to move on to the next level of learning.

Building Blocks Explorers: age 2-3 years
Is your child ready for independence at school...but not yet fully
toilet trained? This class offers an opportunity for your child to
learn independence, participate in social activities, movement
and exploration with our trained Building Blocks teachers.
A $50.00 non-refundable registration processing fee and a

                                                                             The Innovators Pre-Kindergarten program is designed to prepare
                                                                             your child for kindergarten by teaching phonics, handwriting,

                                                                             promote creativity, a growth mindset, and problem-solving

                The San Mateo Police Activities League
                Building the Bond Between Cops and Kids
                Our nonprofit organization seeks to promote trust and understanding between “cops and kids” – bringing youth under the
                supervision and constructive influence of our city’s police officers and other positive role models in a wide range of activities.
                We have made a commitment to our community to provide activities at little or no cost to our members. Our goal is to
                provide everyone with an opportunity to participate in PAL’s numerous activities regardless of financial hardships.

                                                      Summer Time at King (S.T.@.K.) is a summer camp for students
                                                      entering grades 6th – 8th. Campers will experience different
                                                      activities based on the daily themes. Join as we play games,
                                                      create projects, make a mess in the kitchen and swim. Swim
                                                      days are Fridays. This camp includes a staff-supervised, local
                                                      field trip. on Wednesdays (see below).* Transportation will be

Aide Course and volunteer for at least one 2-week session

Water Safety Aide: age 12-18 yrs.
This course is the pre-requisite for those interested in
volunteering as a Water Safety Aide assisting our Swim
Lesson Instructors. The class will teach basic water

management and if for individuals with Level 4 swimming
skills. If you have previously completed this course, you do
not need to repeat it to volunteer for another summer.
