A story of personal triumph, in the face of
all adversity, Joan Lascorz will fight to win
the hardest race in the world.
Joan Lascorz is the first quadriplegic rider to win a MotoGP
off-road rally category. Joan had the accident during a training
session at the Imola Circuit, he suffered a terrible injury and it was
all over. His career as a professional motorbike rider was instantly
curtailed. Hopelessly. He was on the verge of death, but he came back,
fought and managed to get ahead. After a long rehabilitation period and
a great deal of effort, Joan insisted on having a vehicle adapted for him
to be able to compete again.
That is when he started his new life, Joan raced again. He reinvented
himself. Not only that, but he has broken records again, and now he
is thinking only of a challenge, at first sight inaccessible. The Dakar.
Many believe that it is impossible for him to make it, but not only is he
