Structure of the School Day The School Day runs from 08:00 to 15:20 from Monday to Friday. The end of Period 8 and start time of Period 9 are slightly different on Tuesdays and Thursdays in upper school to account for holistic studies and optional LSA activities. Class Sizes Harrow Beijing operates class sizes which are in line with those in international school settings and compare with the other schools within our international Harrow family. Our Admissions team can discuss the exact class sizes related to your child(ren) during your visit to the school. School Bus Network We seek to accommodate the transport requirements of all of our families whenever possible. Our network of buses covers a huge area of Beijing. We operate using a set of key collection/drop-off points which means we aren’t always able to collect from the gates/doors of every village/compound, although we try to amend our key routes to accommodate as many of our families as possible. Leadership in Action Leadership in Action (LiA) is an umbrella term which includes trips and expeditions, and a range of events and Leadership and Service Activities. However, a daily LiA activities programme is timetabled into the school day, where students get access to a range of activities. The programme aims to be balanced to ensure students have access to a broad range of high-quality activities delivered by dedicated professionals, which are inclusive and allow them to try new things, whilst also facilitating and nurturing excellence. There is a focus on progression and pathways tailored for the individual student, which provides them with the opportunity to discover and excel at more than one discipline. LiA actively seeks to enrich the school community and help students to develop a sense of belonging and identity synonymous with being a Beijing Harrovian.
