covers a huge area of Beijing. We operate using a set of key
collection/drop-off points which means we aren’t always able
to collect from the gates/doors of every village/compound,
although we try to amend our key routes to accommodate as
many of our families as possible.

Leadership in Action (LiA) is an umbrella term which includes trips and expeditions, and a range of events and
Leadership and Service Activities. However, a daily LiA activities programme is timetabled into the school day,
where students get access to a range of activities. The programme aims to be balanced to ensure students have
access to a broad range of high-quality activities delivered by dedicated professionals, which are inclusive and
allow them to try new things, whilst also facilitating and nurturing excellence. There is a focus on progression
and pathways tailored for the individual student, which provides them with the opportunity to discover and
excel at more than one discipline. LiA actively seeks to enrich the school community and help students to
develop a sense of belonging and identity synonymous with being a Beijing Harrovian.
We currently offer a range of over 300 activities across the school including:
• Range of competitive sports (swimming programmes, football, basketball, volleyball)
• Model United Nations
• International Award/Duke of Edinburgh
• Service learning opportunities in the local community
• School orchestras
