From the gates of access of the valley, you will get to cover
almost entirely the lush Varaita Valley and you will appreciate all
its beauties. The race trails will develop among breathtaking
natural landscapes: from the paths surrounded
by chestnut woods, to the bare slopes of the high mountains.
In the evening we will celebrate together enjoying the delicacies
of the local cuisine, where simplicity is the main ingredient.

Dinner in a partner restaurant in Sampeyre (optional)
The trails of the 2nd stage will be around Sampeyre, a small
mountain village located at an altitude of about 1,000 m.
Sampeyre has long been a holiday resort full of
attractions, both natural and cultural (such as
the parish church with frescoes dating back to the 1500s, the
Occitan events of the Bahìo carnival or Lou Chanto Viol, ...). The
amazing landscapes make the village a unique destination for many
tourists that, both in summer and in winter, can practice several
sports. This territory is actually the reign of the MTB, where
ancient military roads alternate with breathtaking single tracks!

Bellino
AUGUST 20nd, 2020

Dinner in a partner restaurant in Melle or in Bellino, Chianale

The 3rd Stage of the Trans Varaita Bike will be held in Bellino, a
secondary valley of Varaita Valley, a beautiful mountainous territory,
which hosted many times the incredible IRON BIKE.
Bellino is a municipality made of ten hamlets that are a typical
example of Alpine architecture: houses are usually small and made of
stone and wood, while the streets are narrow and offer unusual views.
The village preserves a rich heritage of sundials that can be seen
everywhere and that are also the theme of the Museum of Time,
which can be visited in the centre of Celle hamlet.

Final TVB Party
Pontechianale is the last municipality of the Varaita Valley, situated
shortly before the Col Agnel and the French border. It consists of
some centers and numerous small hamlets; among them, not to be
missed is Chianale, a small gem of the upper valley, that has been
included to the circuit of “the Prettiest Villages of Italy,”
It is a destination for many tourists all year long that can practice
many winter and summer sports.
