Do’s & Don’ts
    GENERAL
                                           Never go anywhere alone.

                                       
 Smoking/Alcohol
 Some pupils may see the
    weekend as an opportunity to
                                        Always dress for poor
get a short haircut. weather conditions.
 Hair should be
conventionally cut, well-  Always meet your group
     groomed, neither too long
nor too short (number 4 or leaders at the set time &
     longer). The hair should be
natural in colour and style. place.
     Hair additives and fashion
styles are strictly  Be on time for your
     forbidden.
                                           activities!
 I do not want to be refusing to
take your son on a school trip
     because he has had an
     "extreme" haircut.
                                                                  26
Do’s & Don’ts
 Look after your clothing and the centre’s
    equipment, it is very expensive.
 Do not go in to any other bedroom other
    than your own.
 No electrical appliances to be used in the
    bedrooms.
 Important that they get a good night’s sleep!

                                              27
Items to Pack
 Do not pack aerosol spray such as
deodorants, these are not to be used in
the house under any circumstances as
they interfere with the fire alarm
system. Roll on deodorant only please!

                                         28
Items to Pack
 VALUABLE ITEMS
 Mobile phones

 Though these are a useful development in communications
it is becoming increasingly clear that they can pose
problems in the information that gets back to you. We
have a phone that will be contactable for the whole
duration. Phone the centre and they will relay a message
to us. Boys who are away from home for the first time may
find the first few days strange and contacting home
frequently may not help the situation

 My advice would be to leave mobile phones at home.

                                                          29
