Rainforest Expeditions is a Peruvian Ecotourism
company established in 1989. It operates three
comfortable lodges in the Tambopata National
Reserve. Programs offer integration of nature
and culture in the Amazon rainforest aimed at
providing a good overview of life in the rainforest.
Refugio Amazonas
Located in a 200-hectare private reserve within the
buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve,
four hours from the Puerto Maldonado airport. It is
ideal for science enthusiasts, soft adventurers and
families. Refugio Amazonas
Posada Amazonas
Offers ample opportunities to see wildlife such as
squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, parrots and
macaws. The lodge is also home to a family of giant
river otters.
Amazon Villa
A private bungalow designed to provide you with
privacy, creature comforts, and exclusive activities
that enhance an already unforgettable Amazon
jungle experience. It is ideal for romantic getaways
or as an exclusive hideaway.
Tambopata Research Center
The most remote lodge in the Amazon. It is an
excellent headquarters for in depth explorations
of Amazonian nature and wildlife because of its
remote location in uninhabited wilderness housing
stable populations of endangered wildlife, the
small scale of its infrastructure and operations and
the presence of researchers and naturalist guides.
