Ontario University Admission Review
 High school diploma required.
 Six Grade 12 ‘U’ or ‘U/C’ courses
 most programs have 75% + admission averages
 prerequisite courses …
 Refer to university web sites, handbooks and eINFO
 Universities may consider Gr. 11 and 12 (‘U’ and ‘U/C’)
  courses for admission &/or prerequisites
 ‘U’ or ‘U/C’ coop credits do not count in admission
  averages

Researching University Programs
  Review the Saved schools and programs in your
   Career Cruising IPP.*****Career Cruising is being replaced by myBlueprint
  Consult specific university handbooks. Know
   the program CODES you are considering and
   keep for future reference.

     Search engine for undergraduate and post graduate degree
      programs
     Able to compare university programs
     Scholarship info readily available

Also Consider…
 Applied Degrees and/ or Diplomas through the
  Colleges and the Ontario College Application Service
  (OCAS)
 Apply to College www.ontariocolleges.ca
 College applicant workshop is November 15th
 College Applications are due
      February 1 2019  st
              for equal considerations… you can apply after
  this date if the program is still accepting applications

 Pick up your Access Code Letter (PIN’s) available
  through Guidance NOW.

 Application fee $150 for 3 Ontario
  choices
      $50 for each additional choice
 Submit application no later than
      January 16, 2019…
              Sooner the better…

 $$$$$$$$ for tuition, books, residence
 How will you cover these costs?

Timeframe re mark submissions

 Current timetable and all previously completed
  grade 11 and 12 courses presented at time of
  application
 Semester 1 finals submitted in February
 Semester 2 midterms presented
 Most offers of admissions will be presented after
  semester 2 midterms
 Offers of Admission are conditional…

November , 2018
Schools distribute Access Code Letters for the OUAC 101 Online Application.

January 16, 2019:
Latest date to submit completed online applications to the OUAC.

February 5, 2019:
Recommended last day to make changes to your application.

May 29, 2019:
Latest date you can expect a response to your application for admission.

June 3, 2019:
Earliest date by which the universities may require a response to offers of
           admission and a financial commitment.

  assist in the completing and submission of your

 Appreciate the prerequisites and anticipated averages
  required…Midterms…compare with averages needed
