Message from the Headteacher
                                               for Families
I trust that all of you are well.

Captain Tom Moore and the challenge he set himself - with the
aid of a walking frame - of walking 100 laps of his garden before
his 100th birthday to raise money for the NHS is truly inspiring.
Having read the comments on his Twitter feed, he always signs
off of his tweets with ‘#TomorrowWillBeAGoodDay’ and I, like
you, have been moved by his positivity and this amazing act of
solidarity.
                                                                              Mr M Barrow
As I write this bulletin, he has raised £15.5 million for the NHS Headteacher
and is still going! For me then this is also a reminder of the
British public’s generosity and care of our key workers. Many of
our families have parents and carers who are working on the front line and so this is our
opportunity to thank you for your incredible work - thank you.

On Tuesday we wrote to you with details of Google Classroom and the improved routines
we are putting into place from Monday 20th April. Thank you for the positive emails that
we have had in response to this. Google Classroom allows us to offer an improved range of
online learning information and is more effective in enabling us to track students’ progress
and provides better access for students and staff to communicate with each other through
‘chat’ and ‘live’ sessions. In addition to this, later in this bulletin we have provided you with
a weekly reading challenge, wellbeing bingo and Mrs Mellor’s ‘Ten Brilliant Films Based on
Books’.

Finally, I am pleased to report that Mr Rearden’s wife gave birth earlier this month and both
mum and baby are well and are home. We have sent our good wishes to Mr Rearden and his
family.

Please stay well and safe.

Mark Barrow
