Persuasive Writing Definition Example
          Techniques
Alliteration Using a series of words that ‘’A particularly perfect pizza’’
                           begin with the same sound.
Rhetorical Question A question that does not ‘’Can you really afford to ignore this
                           require an answer. warning?’’
Exaggeration Information that is untrue or ‘’I will explode if I am asked to do
                           over the top. that again!’’
Emotive Language Words that can create an ‘’Abandoned and alone, only you can
emotion in the reader. help Lola by donating to the Dogs
                                                           Trust’’
Repetition To repeat the same thing ‘’ Cats are the best! They make
more than once. great pets and are very friendly,
                                                           cats are the best.’’

A rule of three A sentence grouped together ‘’Cadbury’s chocolate is smooth,
with three ideas to make the velvety and tastes divine’’
                           point more interesting.

rule of three here to make your point sound more
interesting?)

Third point: (Use another persuasive technique, could a
rhetorical question be used here to interest the reader?)

Conclusion: (End your final point, could you use emotive
language here to evoke emotion in your reader?)
