2. Competition and Differentiation
By analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the competition, Rocky Ridge are a well-known established
destination that has existed for a long time even though there are other similar types of destination in the
Vaal River area. For all existing similar types of destinations in the Vaal River area there is a big visitor
base to be run successfully, which will be shown in the expenditure and income statements. This indicates
that existing competition in this industry are not seen as being disadvantageous to Rocky Ridge.
3. Advertising and Sales
As Rocky Ridge Holiday Resort have been running successfully for many years now, with our planning to
expand the Tourism side of the business further with the following:
o Build tent houses to rent out
o Keep small game to attract people
o Start with events as Valentine dinner, Easter egg hunt, New Year’s dance, etc.
