Reservations
   • No reservations can be made for a campsite later than 7 days prior to the initial date of occupancy (i.e.
Friday before midnight for the next Friday’s date of occupancy).
   • Reservations are taken 12 months or less in advance (i.e. a reservation for July 1-4, 2020, can be made
on July 1, 2019, or any date after July 1).
   • All reservations must be paid for in full at the time the reservation is made. All sites, reserved or
self-registered, must be paid in full before occupying. Once paid in full, campers may set up without
formally checking in with the campground attendant.
   • Reservations must be made for at least two nights. On holiday weekends (Memorial Day,
Independence Day and Labor Day), the site must be reserved for three nights, unless stated otherwise.
   • If you call or come into the office to make reservations for someone other than yourself, please bring
pertinent information with you for each reservation (see below). What we need:
          1. First & Last Name

transaction, but you will pay the $10 reservation fee for each site).
   • Reservations by phone or in office, can be made during open office hours, 8am to 4pm, M-F, or online
24/7 for dates between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend.
   • Reservations cannot be made at the campgrounds, only self-registrations.
   • Once full payment is made, a confirmation letter is sent which contains reservation and policy
information to the e-mail address on file. If you need to change your e-mail, please call us.
   • Wood County reserves the right to make adjustments in assigning reserved sites.

Non-Reservable Sites
  • A certain number of campsites are designated as non-reservable.
  • Non-reservable sites cannot be “held”. Immediate occupancy is required.

Self-Registration
    • You may self-register for 1 to 14 nights, providing the site is not reserved.
    • Onsite self-registration is available from the time the campgrounds open until October 31st except at
Dexter Park, which remains open through the deer gun season.
    • For onsite registrations, you may select a campsite that is not posted as reserved. Before setting up,
complete the self-registration form at the fee station for the chosen site. Place the fee into the envelope
and drop the envelope into the collection box. Place proper portion of fee envelope on post at campsite.
    • If you are self-registering for an open site (including non-reservable) it must be occupied immediately
with a unit (camper or tent) after the self-registration paperwork is completed at the campground.

In case the ordinance is updated, please be advised the rules in the official ordinance linked above take
precedence over the rules copied on this page.

Firewood & Ice
You may purchase firewood & ice from 8am to 8pm at each campground. If the Ranger or Host are available
at other hours, they will try to assist you.

The following are a few of the more important ordinances:

allowed in park areas for cutting firewood. Untreated, clean, dimensional lumber (e.g. cut off 2x4’s) may be
used for burning.

Pets Ordinance
Per our ordinance 600.08 (1) Pets. It shall be unlawful for any person to allow pets to enter any public

shall at all times be kept on a leash not more than 10 feet long. All pets shall be effectively restrained or under
the owner's control at all times. No person shall allow his pet to deprive or disrupt the enjoyment or use of
