Covid-19 has affected all of us in many ways, especially with
the stoppage of racing in late February to late May. Many pro-
tocols were put into place to stop the spread of the corona-
virus in our community of racing. Those included only essen-
tial people permitted at the tracks and face coverings. New
guidelines for the operation of the Paddock and barn areas
at the tracks were also instituted: Temperature checks, face
masks, social distancing, hand sanitizing and forms to be filled
out. It was a bit overwhelming.
The Racing Commission mandated that owners were not
permitted to attend qualifiers. To fill that void, Trot and Pace
Marketing was hired to video the many qualifiers that were to
be conducted and we attempted to make these video presen-
tations with commentary as well.
The next step on the return to racing was coverage of races
at Eldorado Scioto Downs by way of Facebook Live. These
shows had viewership in excess of 5,000, sometimes as high

wire to win the first division in the two-year-old colt pace.
Feelin Western was also a wire-to-wire winner for Beau Brown. The
win was the third in four starts for the son of Western Terror.
The fastest time of the day was in the first division of the two-year-
old filly pace as Susy Finn rallied down the stretch for Jeff Nisonger
to win in 2:01.2.
Greene County August 5, 2020
It’s was Dan Noble’s day at the Green County Fair in Xenia. Noble
won five of the seven races on the card. All seven races were for two-
year-olds.

Ten different drivers collected wins on the 17-race card. Jeff Nisonger
led the way with six wins, while Scott Cisco and Hunter Meyers each
collected two.

year-old filly pace in 2:00.0.
The best time of the day was recorded by Wiggle This. Ronnie Gilles-
pie went wire-to-wire with the three-year-old colt in 1:59.4.
The upset of the day was in the two-year-old colt and gelding
pace. Amour Cruiser and Dustin Bothman grabbed the lead at the
three-quarter pole and cruised home to victory. The win snapped
the five-race winning streak for Woo Said, who challenged early but
Justin Irvin faded and finished fourth.

Due to Covid-19 and no fair in Athens County, the races were
moved to the Morgan County Fairgrounds in McConnelsville.
Alex Hawk scored a triple on the eight-race card. He guided Rockin
Moon to the winner’s circle for the first time in five starts after three
seconds and a third.
Cody Hanover and Derek Watiker clocked the best time of the day;
1:57.2 in winning the three-year-old colt pace.
Athens County August 8, 2020
Day two of the Athens County races were also held in
McConnelsville.
Drivers Derek Watiker and Brad Clemens each had three wins as
