b. CHIJ (Toa Payoh Sec) held her Honours Day on 3 Mar 2018. She also had her Student Leaders'
Investiture on Aug 3 2018 and her Graduation ceremony on 21 Sep 2018.

Two of her O-Level students in the 2017 Graduating cohort deserve mention – one is visually impaired while
the other suffers from hearing loss. ... read more

c. CHIJ Katong Convent held her Official Opening on 24 Mar 2018.
Her choir was featured in the Limelight Concert on 2 Apr 2018.
She celebrated Founder's Day on 25 May 2018.
She put up these pieces of music at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation for Concert Bands
2015.

d. CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh) held her Prize-Giving ceremony on 24 Jan 2018.
Her 33nd Prefects' Investiture was held on 28 Mar 2018.

A fund-raising Concert in aid of Infant Jesus Homes and Children’s Centres (IJHCC) in collaboration with CHIJ
Primary Schools was held on 19 May 2018 Saturday at CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh). There were two shows - a
Matinee show and the evening concert.

A Pr 1 pupil, Charissa, from St Nicholas Girls School, played Chopin Waltz opus 5 no.2 on the piano.
The concert was a joint effort by the 7 CHIJ Primary Schools and IJHCC.

CHIJ Pr (TP) will hold the P6 Prize-Giving and EAS/PV Appreciation Day on 16 Nov 2018.

e. CHIJ Our Lady of Good Counsel celebrated her feast day on 25 Apr 2018.
Her Awards Day is on 14 Nov 2018 to be followed by a Musical night on 16 Nov 2018.

e. CHIJ Katong Pri celebrated Founder’s Day on 25 May 2018.
The 88th Anniversary Carnival was held on 30 Jun 2018.
Her Prize-giving Day is on 16 Nov 2018.

f. CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace celebrated Honours Day on 23 Mar 2018.
There was a Sing, Swing and Spin Carnival on 30 Jun 2018.
Another event is the IJ Olympics and the opening of the new block on 4 Oct 2018.
The P6 Graduation Day is on 13 Nov 2018.

g. CHIJ Kellock will hold a Danceathon and Carnival on 10 Nov 2018.
Her Kellock Awards and Partners' Appreciation day is on 13 Nov 2018.

h. CHIJ Our Lady of Nativity will hold her Annual Prize presentation ceremony on 16 Nov 2018.

i. CHIJ St Joseph's Convent celebrated CNY with the elderly from the IJ Home and Lions’Befrienders, as well
as organised a Culinary Competition and a Creative Hamper Competition. Origami dogs were given to nearby
residents.
She celebrated St Joseph’s Feast day as well as her 80 th anniversary and Awards Ceremony on 19 Mar 2018.
Last year, she published a book “Stories that Inspire – celebrating Learning” to commemorate her 79 years of
history when SJC has nurtured many fine young girls into women of integrity with the passion to pursue
excellence.

j. CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' held a CNY celebration cum Lee Poh See Foundation Awards and Sr Deirdre
O’Loan Award Presentation on 15 May 2018.
She presented a concert Jubilate XII on 26 May 2018 at the Republic Polytechnic.
Her 85th Anniversary celebrations included an outdoor Fun day at Bishan Park on 29 Jun 2018 and the launch
of a Commemorative Documentary by AA in September.

k. CHIJ St Theresa's Convent held her 85th Anniversary Mass on 6 Apr 2018 followed by the STC Fiesta the
following day.
Her Theresian Awards Day was on 25 May 2018..
Her 48th Graduation Ceremony will be held on 20 Nov 2018..

CHIJ Secondary Toa Payoh officially opened her museum exhibiting artifacts from her 160-year-long history.

2b. CHIJ Heritage Gallery on CHIJ History at CHIJMES

The proposed gallery showcases the history of the school established in 1854 by Catholic French nuns and
features exhibition panels, a short film and artefacts.

The CHIJ Alumni Association works closely with the new owners on this heritage gallery project.

She held a Charity Concert at CHIJMES on 12 Apr 2015. Her Flag Day was on 23 May 2015. The IJ Sisters on
behalf of IJHCC wish to thank all for their generous support in organising, participating and contributing to this
cause.

b. We congratulate Dr Lily Kong, an IJ Alumnus, who will head Singapore Management University (SMU) as
its fifth president from Jan 2019, the first Singaporean to assume the role. She was the Provost in 2015.
