AUGUST 30, 2019
Council Approves 1st Reading of FY 2020 Budget
At their August 27 meeting, the League City Council
unanimously approved the first reading of a budget for
Fiscal Year 2020 that keeps the City at the effective tax
rate. For League City homeowners, this means property
taxes per $100 of evaluation will be $0.548581, which
is lower than the FY 2019 adopted rate of $0.5638.
A second reading of the budget is scheduled for the
Council’s September 10 meeting and the tax rate will be
officially adopted October 8. The total League City budget City Manager John Baumgartner and Budget
