City of Rockingham Libraries Events and Programs - Spring 2021 September - November
It is hard to believe it is spring already as
Welcome
we wind our way through the last few
months of the year and hope for some
          lovely sunny days.

Spring is a time for rejuvenation and
discovering new things so why not
discover something new at the library
the next time you visit or the next time
          you go online.

The libraries offer so much more than
you think, and other than a few special
events, it is all free. Over the next few
          months why not:

          • Read something online - a magazine,
a book, listen to an eBook.

          • Read or listen to something written
by an author you have never heard of.

          • Join in on an event or program to
learn new skills and meet new people.

          • Watch a movie online on Kanopy
or Beamafilm, all for free with your
            library card.

          • Encourage your teenager to come
            to a WICKED session.

          • Sign up for a 3D printing workshop.

We look forward to seeing you at the
library and who knows what you might
discover next time you are here.

Housebound
         Library Service

Residents of the City of Rockingham who are physically unable to visit their
local library (either temporarily or permanently) may apply to have library
items delivered to their homes. This service is also available to live-in carers
and also when a partner, relative or friend who would normally drive to the
library is away on holiday or unavailable. The Housebound Library Service
makes deliveries to each reader once a month.

Members are permitted to borrow up to 20 items at one time. The service
provides a wide range of books in normal print and large print, audio books,
magazines and DVDs. The library service also has e-books and e-audiobooks
that can be downloaded to a device from the City of Rockingham Library
Service anytime. The service will not be able to deliver to nursing homes or
similar facilities. Please contact your library for more information about the
                                application process.
This much loved annual celebration returns in 2021
and will be held on Tuesday 14 September.

                                              The One Plus One follows
the story of Jess, a quietly heroic
