Vol. 21 No. 5 May 2021 CLAREMONT CIVIC ASSOCIATION Board Election Update The April 2021 Newsletter announced that there would be two (2) open director positions, each for three (3) year terms. Interested homeowners were encouraged to submit a nomination for candidacy. The deadline for nominations was April 23, 2021 at 5:00. As of that date, only one (1) candidate was identified for the two (2) open positions. Under Roberts Rules of Order, the one candidate is unopposed, and therefore elected without needing an official vote. The candidate will be elected by the HOA membership by acclamation at the CCA Annual Meeting scheduled for June 17, 2021 at 1:00 in the Clubhouse. As there was only one interested candidate, the second open position will be filled by appointment by the Board at their June 17th Board meeting, following the Annual Meeting. Claremont homeowners are encouraged to submit an Application of Interest that will assist the Board in filling the open position. If you are interested in applying for this open position, please complete the Application and submit it no later than May 19th, 2021 by 5:00 PM. Applications are available in the Clubhouse Office or online on the Claremont web page. Completed applications should be directed to the attention of Gary Stevens, President, CCA Board of Directors, and placed in the President’s mailbox (#1). Please do not submit Applications for someone other than yourself. If you have any questions regarding this process, please feel free to contact the President of the Board or the CCA Administrator. The 2021 Claremont Homeowners Annual Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Clubhouse Great Hall. More details to follow regarding COVID-19 precautions related to meeting in large groups. Cover photo by Gordy Grochau
