Concessions Offerings Presented for Mid Atlantic Power League
Welcome to 2021 MAPL!
We are so excited to be hosting your event!!
Our world has changed and we have all had to adapt and go with the flow. Here at the Convention Center
we too have made a few adjustments to our concession operation that are designed with your safety in mind. We have
modified our menu, our service protocols and have implemented strict wellness and safety guidelines for our staff. As you
prepare to plan your visit to the Convention Center, bring your appetite as we have adopted a new technology,
EZPLANIT, in an ongoing effort to maintain your safety and comfort when dining with us.
With regard to our concession areas, we have two ways to get the foods you crave. First and foremost,
we will be offering a variety of snacks/grab and go items for you to choose from in a mostly traditional concessions format.
There will be a plexi glass barrier to protect the airspace between you and the concessions stand personnel and we highly
encourage using digital payment such as apple pay, google pay or credit/debit cards.
Secondly, in order to safely produce and deliver our freshly prepared grilled and fried items, we have
launched a brand new application, EZPLANIT, so you can order and receive your food in a worry free and safe
manner…Think “in house” uber eats or Grubhub!!
Here is some important information on how to place an order using EZPLANIT for our fresh prepared
items or any of our grab and go and beverage options. Our entire menu is available through EZPLANIT if you want to have a
cashless and contact free experience for any of our offerings.
Food and beverage orders can easily be placed utilizing our new self-ordering technology:
• First you will Scan a QR code with your smart phone or other personal device conveniently displayed adjacent to
the concession stand zone in your area. This will take you to your MAPL EVENT menu selections. The QR code
displayed in your concession zone will be specific to your specific area in the Convention Center.
• Select the menu items that you want to order. Once you are finished making selections, click on shopping bag icon
(top of page).
• At checkout you will be prompted to put your name, phone number and payment details
• For payment there are a few options here as well. You can directly enter your credit card information, or you can
scan credit card using your camera on your device. Additionally, if you have set up apple/Goole/Android pay, the
information will most likely be already available in your device. In the continued effort to minimize contact we
strongly encourage the use of either a debit or a credit card or other form of cashless payment.
• After the order has been placed you will receive a confirmation text from the kitchen and then a separate text when
it arrives at the redemption point leaving you freedom from lines and providing the opportunity for maximum social
distancing. We anticipate a quick completion time, approximately 10-15 minutes, from the time you place your
order on your device and the text messages will keep you tuned in to the status of your order.
EZPLANIT ordering instructions step by step • Scan the QR code located in the nearest concession area with your smart phone’s camera. (You may have to zoom in for code to read). QR CODES will be placed on table tents and TV screens in close proximity to each concession area. • QR codes are ZONE SPECIFIC. There are three zones in the Convention Center – Exhibit Hall A, Exhibit Hall BC and Ballroom. When you scan a QR code, food will be delivered to the area you scanned the QR code in. • Once QR code is scanned, click the link provided to access your unique MAPL Event Day Menu. • Once on the site, you will see the event and your zone location at the top of the page, under PLACE AN ORDER. • Select the concession items you wish to order. Exhibit Hall • Once you have selected all items, click on the bag icon at the TOP RIGHT of the screen. BC • Click on CHECKOUT. • You will then be prompted to put in your name, phone number and payment details. • Select PAYMENT METHOD. • Review and finalize your order. • You will receive an APPROVED notice directly to your smart phone when the order goes through. Ballroom • You will receive an additional message along with a digital copy of your receipt when the order arrives at the redemption area in your specific zone. The three zones are Exhibit hall BC, Exhibit Hall A or Ballroom and Exhibit will be directly outside of the courts you are assigned to. We intend to Hall A keep this process to around 10-15 minutes at most from the time your order is placed.
