Cotswold Cottages near Bourton-on-the-
Water
– sleeps 8-10 people
This lovely quintessential ‘Chocolate Box’ Cotswold cottage is just
30 minutes east of Cheltenham. It is part of a group of cottages
which are rented for weekends.

On the edge of the village with views across the valley and a garden
that runs down to the river, it is idyllically positioned. These cottages are
not for groups who want all night parties but more for those looking for
the perfect ‘get away’ in a beautiful setting. There is plenty of parking.

Cottage One (A1) – sleeps 8-10

Open the door and find yourself in the cosy hallway/dining room with a
large pine dining table with solid wood chairs. Next to the big stone
feature fireplace is a lovely window seat to nestle and look out onto the
picturesque garden. With various doors and winding stairs leading off
from this room, it really is straight from the pages of Bramley Hedge -
magical!

From the dining room enter the 'snug' which has a stone fireplace,
electric log burner, beanbag and two x 3 seat sofas. There is another
door leading off the dining room to the kitchen. The fitted kitchen has a
built in fridge/freezer, an electric range cooker, Belfast sink and washing
machine.

There are 2 bathrooms, a ground (outdoor wet room) and one on the
1st floor. The ground floor wet room is a stone’s throw from the front
door. Shower in peace whilst looking across the garden, church steeple
and valley beyond. This room consists of a large shower, sink and loo.

Go upstairs from the dining room/hallway and you'll find yourself on the
1st floor landing. To the right is a large bathroom, bath, separate shower
unit, loo and sink.

First floor

Bedroom one has a double bed. With a feature fireplace this cosy
bedroom overlooks the garden and river - it might be a struggle to get
out of bed!

Bedroom two has a king-size bed and a beautiful window seat that looks
over the garden. This has built in wardrobe space and chest of drawers.

Top Floor

Bedroom three - go up the winding stairs and into this attic room with
lovely wooden floors and 2 single beds

Continue through the double bedroom and the door leads to the family
room. Named so because of the extra space with king size bed and
double sofa bed available. Both of these top floor bedrooms have garden
and river views.

The cottage has a hot tub. This is in the garden in a little summer
house. Please respect the neighbours and please don’t use after 9pm.
Please bring your own towels for outside/hot tub use.

Use of hot tub £50 - please bring own outdoor towels

If you have a larger group (15-17 people) there is an additional
cottage you could book:

Cottage Two (AA) – sleeps 4-6/7 people

Immediately behind Cottage One (A1) lies Cottage Two (AA), stunning
views down to the river and across the valley. This property sits on the
edge of the valley and rolling hills of the Cotswolds.

Bedroom one has a super king bed that can easily be made into two
singles, it also has a double sofa bed. This bedroom is ensuite with a
shower, loo and wash basin.
Bedroom two has a king-size wrought iron bed and
immediately next door is a bathroom with bath, loo and wash
                                        basin.

Downstairs is an open plan sitting room, electric fire, L-
shaped sofa, flat screen Television, DVD player, iPod docking
station and Wi-Fi throughout. In the same room is a large
wooden dining table, comfortably seating 10 with plenty of
                                        room.

We also have a single sofa bed that we sometimes put in the
2nd bedroom of the annex for an extra person.

There is a plan to add an extra downstairs bedroom to
the annex making it a 3 bed (this should be ready by
                                        June).

Dining: If you are renting both cottages and want to dine together, Cottage Two (AA) has a table
which can be extended into the living space to seat 14-15. We can get this ready for you on arrival if
you plan to eat together on Friday evening so you don’t have to move furniture.

Other: Bath towels & bedding are provided (outdoor/hot tub towels not included, please bring your
own).

Check in from 3pm on Friday and check out flexible on Sunday (or 10am Monday).
