Definitions
Quarantine- Separating and Self-Isolate- Staying home and Close Contact- Close contact is
restricting the movement of away from other people as much defined as being within 6 feet

1. COVID+ 4. DIRECT EXPOSURE

• Manager should immediately email HRConnect, Risk, and the DD notifying them of the
confirmed positive case and provide the last date/time the employee worked at a City
facility.
Department
• COVID-19 diagnosis is not to be shared with other employees.
• HR will send the illness survey, evaluate the situation & contact trace, if necessary.
• HR makes a determination of exposure and quarantines the COVID+ employee and anyone
in close contact within the 48 hour period of symptoms starting/positive test result.
HR/Risk
• Require medical clearance before returning any employees to work.2. COVID SYMPTOMS
• Employee experiences symptoms of COVID-19.
• Notify your direct supervisor, contact HR, and STAY HOME.

• HR does not quarantine or require self isolation for indirect exposure.
• HR will require quarantine for spouses of COD employees who are required to quarantine.

exiting the vehicle
