company in business today, in existence since 1958.
Our studios created the 1st Dubbing school in Brazil
32 years ago. Asking why you would want to learn
dubbing from a Brazilian company is like asking
why you should learn soccer from the Brazilian
national team.
Dubbing in Brazil has existed for as long as movies
have, and for that reason Brazilian dubbing is
considered by many to be the best in the world. To us,
dubbing is more than just a profession; it is a passion
of millions, a tradition. In a country that imports more
than 90% of its content on cable TV from foreign
countries, dubbing is a mass necessity that required
a finely tuned craft to be developed for it. With the

60 years of quality, honesty and innovation, we stand

• Voice actress and director; a dubbing professional since 1998
• Brazilian voice to over 1000 titles among films, cartoons, TV shows,
video games and all forms of entertainment media
• Voiced characters like Ryan in Disney’s High School Musical, Oliver
in Hannah Montana, Matt in Lizzie McGuire, Walt in Lost, Chaos in
Dragon Ball, Lan Hikari in Megaman NT Warrior, Teruo in Digimon
Frontier and many others
• Linguistically inclined: +7 years of combined experience in
Translation, Localization and Dubbing in the United States
combined to +10 years of Voice Acting experience in Brazil

of scene, context and interaction with others.

• Exercises to perform in class or at home to improve breathing,
speech and enunciation.

• All about dubbing from how it started to how it developed into
the industry that it is today.
V. ETHICS, RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Industry’s yays and nays, ranging from basic dubbing practices in
the workplace to payment and schedules.

REGULAR LESSONS:

A comprehensive course from introduction to practice in what is required for
professional dubbing in a class of no more than 10 students. At the end of this www.StudioBKS.com
period, you will be given a fair assessment of your aptitude and overall progress as
well as your possible placing in the current market. If at the conclusion of this period
you decide to continue having classes, there is the option of moving to ongoing
practice lessons on a weekly basis.
Top students who have shown extraordinary progress will be selected for a
scholarship program, which means a top percentage in each class may get to
move on to the weekly basis practice for free.
Schedule: One 3-hour lesson per week for a period of 2 months.
Payment: $700 total*
Included:
• Course materials: study guide, home exercises.
• Demo reel: voice registries for clients or home study.
• End course evaluation: a final test including an honest and realistic
assessment of your progress and placement in the current market.
• A diploma stating the conclusion of your professionalizing dubbing course
signed by dubbing professionals Julia Castro (instructor) and Daniela
Piquet (BKS owner), with the possibility of an “exceptional performance”
recommendation if your evaluation reflects that.
WEEKLY BASIS:
This option is ongoing practice for those who decided to extend their practice
period after the regular course was done, or even for those who are not ready to
commit to the 2-month program before finding out if it’s something they want to
invest in.
If this is the program you decide to begin with, you will be required to attend
an introduction lesson before starting practice, which will vary in starting times
according to current demand.
Schedule: Weekly. One 2-hour lesson per week, on an ongoing basis.
Payment: $90 per 2-hour lesson*
Included:
• Course materials: study guide, home exercises.
• Demo reel: voice registries for clients or home study.
• Ongoing evaluation: an honest and realistic assessment
of your progress and placement in the current market.

Here you get the full program curriculum, but at your own pace. Lessons will be
tailored to your own personal pitfalls and your assessment will be done singularly www.StudioBKS.com
for you, resulting in a more in-depth analysis. Since you are by yourself, you also
get more practice time as well as a one-on-one learning experience. This is also
an option for those who have scheduling restrains and would like the program to
work within their availability.
If you display exceptional aptitude, you may also get selected for the scholarship
program where you may move on to the weekly basis practice for free.
Schedule: Flexible. To be arranged privately with the student,
accommodating to their availability.
Payment: $150 per 2-hour lesson*
Included:
