Memories of Dylan by Ella.

Dylan enjoyed being able to spend time at YDA with his friends.

From a young child he loved exploring the corridors of Stoke Mandeville School,
finding out where all the light switches were and turning them on and off!

One of his favourite activities was to empty all the cupboards and drawers in the
kitchen so he could wash up everything but insisted I dried up and put it all away!

He had so much fun being outside and the freedom of running across the field. He
would turn to make sure you were following and just keep running and laughing,
especially when it was time to go home!

                                                                                 5

We had great fun at Halloween, there was lots of
games and so of us even got our face painted.

YDA’s
                     Christmas Parties

YDA had a great time celebrating the festive season. The PSG gang went to watch
Snow White at the Chickenshed theatre in Southgate, they had a great time. The
over 18’s went out for dinner at Frankie and Benny's in High Wycombe. Both Parent
support group and youth club were lucky enough to have a visit from Santa and his
elf, he brought presents with him too that we were all very excited about.

                                                                                7

people! A chance to meet other families and
other children in similar situations. It helps him

                   Sleep Tight Rainy Boy
One topic which he loved the most, was the rain. Every time he would see me, he
would say “is it raining?”; I would say no it’s sunny today or it is cloudy. But he was so
adamant it was raining outside every single time. One certain memory I have of Dylan
which I will never forget, was when I was at his house and he said it is raining. I said
no its dry. Then we saw water splashing on the window which I thought it was the
next-door neighbour’s watering hose, he was determined it was the rain. I laughed
and said no not today; he pulled my hand to see outside the window – in fact this
time it was raining! He gave a cheeky smile and said “see I am right it is raining!”
                                                                           By Mary Fallon
