Legislative Report Chair, Marjorie A. provided the following update:
                      • As many of you know, there is an urgent need to increase funding for Medicaid’s
home and community based services (HCBS) programs. These programs, which
provide an alternative to nursing home care, are terribly underfunded, especially in
                         Florida.
                      • The American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding is only for one year. Florida requested an
extension until July 12th for submission of how the state would use the $320 million
now available to Florida through the ARP.
                      • No other updates were shared by attendees.
