Re-enactment of the historical fishing: La Tratta

Demonstration of the Rimini maritime tradition
The initiative is an opportunity to discover the sea traditions of Rimini through a re-enactment of the fishing mode
'La Tratta'.
'La Tratta' is a "poor" fishing technique from ancient time and it was in use on the coast until the 1950s. This kind
of fishing will be proposed in a practical demonstration, aimed to keep alive the local tradition and discover the
ancient fishing in the Adriatic sea, which has always been a source of live to the Rimini seafarer population.
After the fishing demonstration, there will be tastings of grilled fish, according to the ancient Rimini tradition,
accompanied by 'piada' and wine

The top flight of motorcycling comes to the land of engines and riders. MotoGp riders such as Valentino Rossi,
Andrea Dovizioso, Loris Capirossi and the departed Marco Simoncelli, Sic for his friends, are all born in this
territory, where the passion for motorbikes is deep and genuine. In 2013 the circuit has changed name to Misano

Meetings, shows, initiatives for children on the theme of work
Sunday, September 9th 2018 at Castel Sismondo returns the Acli festival in Rimini. An event that is renewed
every year at the end of the summer, a party open to the whole city with moments of reflection, gastronomy,
shows and events for children. The program of the day begins in the morning with the initiatives reserved for the
services of Acli (Zavatta Foundation, Caf, Patronato) and the Holy Mass.In the afternoon the party opens to the
citizens of Rimini and to all the provincial territory. At the center of the day there is the theme of work, with a
convention to which everyone is invited to participate.At the same time, in the garden of the Castle, space for
children with Acli Kids, the tricks of Arianna Barlini and the treasure hunt together with the bookshop Viale dei
Ciliegi. At 8.00 p.m. aperitif / buffet accompanied by the music of the youth band Città di Rimini. At 9.15 pm

"RENZO PASOLINI, the Man, the Driver, the Myth, a local Hero ". Paso's career through his motorbikes, his
objects, images and movies of the period, but also how Renzo became a myth for Rimini and for all motorcyclists.

Exhibition of paintings and mosaics on paper at the City Museum
1998- 2018 is the title of Alan Gattamorta's exhibition, which shows an extensive selection of paintings and
mosaics on paper. A process of research and reflection dedicated to apparently marginal themes, which become
the ideal terrain for a tireless investigation on style and gaze. Alan Gattamorta, born in Boston (U.S.) in 1953 for
many years has been living and working in Cesenatico. He is a multifaceted artist: painter, draftsman and mosaic
artist, already present at the Rimini Design Biennial in 2016 with a personal room.

La “Manica Lunga”, located on the first floor of the ancient body of Rimini city museum, will host an exhibition by
Pier Paolo Del Bianco entitled “Journey of fantasies and obsessions”. The exhibition includes works from the mid-
eighties to the most recent research made by another artist from Romagna who, thanks to travels and
relationships, has sought a dialogue with the German “Art brut “and the American graphitism of these
decades.The alphabet of contemporary human existence, from the world of things to the image of the city is told
with sincerity and with a singular expressive crudeness.
On Saturday 4th August, at 6 p.m., the Culture Councilor Massimo Pulini will officially open visits to the collection
of works.

The Gambalunga Library offers the opportunity to visit the Ancient Halls in the seventeenth century Palazzo

Domus is a Byzantine palace with large rooms enriched by polychrome mosaics: a medieval house where
Eutyches, the surgeon, lived and operated on his patients and where it is possible to admire its sepulchral
structures. To safeguard its conservation and to allow its visit to the public, a glass and steel covering was built.
The visitors will discover the anecdotes about the surgeon’s life who lived there by the guided tours. Moreover, in
the rooms of the City Museum of Rimini it is possible to visit the reproduction of the medical table and admire the
entire surgical instruments.
You can continue the museum tour to discover the works of the 14th century Rimini school and many other art
treasures.
Guided tour timetable: Saturday and Sunday at 4 pm. The visit is included in the entrance ticket. Reservation is
required.
