Refund Policy
All requests to withdraw from a camp, trip or class
must refer to the following policy:
1) For summer camps and trips: Refunds will be
issued, minus the $10 administration fee only if the
spot can be replaced by a participant on the waiting
list. Otherwise, a refund cannot be issued.
2) For fitness classes, swimming lessons, and other
programs: If a participant is unsatisfied with a
program, or if they are no longer able to participate
due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact
the Parks & Recreation office at 387-2024 to discuss
your eligibility for a refund. Once the program has
started, eligible refunds will be pro-rated, less the
$10 administration fee.
3) If the Parks & Recreation Department cancels a
program for any reason, a full refund will be issued.Table of Contents

community to get help. The Playbourhood Program aims to

provide positive role models, facilitate opportunities to foster friendships and connect your
child to a variety of community resources during their middle years of growth.
If your child is between the ages of 6 and 12 (must be turning 6 by December 31, 2018) and
within walking distance from home to the park, they can drop in according to the schedule
below. Program registration is required prior to participation. In case of inclement weather,
the program is cancelled.
Drop-in playbourhood activities will include cooperative games, field games, nature walks,
crafts, gardening, reading in the shade, theme days, water play, drama, singing and much
more!
All children must have a place to go at all times to access washrooms and for emergencies.
Parents or guardians who supervise their child’s transition from home to the park (walking,
driving or biking) must stay at the park. Leaders are not responsible for your child if they
decide to leave on their own.
